No news from agency...
No news from agency during 2 weeks. Not answering to our emails...then the driver didn't put the correct address in the GPS so we have lost 20 minutes and driver was texting and on the phone when he was driving so not safe at all.

Excellent Service
Stanley picked us up at the airport and took to our hotel in Copacabana. He was very friendly, and helped us with our luggage. We enjoyed the conversation. We would use his services again.

Never again this company
We booked this company as we arrived late in Rio, upon arrival no one was there. We were delayed but when I corresponded with this company their reply was "no problem, we watch the arrival time". We found another taxi who took us to our hotel at 12 midnight. luckily the driver was legit. I would not recommend this company ever. Just google and use another company. There are also many taxis waiting at the airport at this time.

Beware the pitfalls. NOT recommended.
As we all know, sometimes flight schedules can change, due to weather, aircraft mechanical fault, or other issues, usually resulting in delays in arrival at the final destination. So as soon as I was aware of the sudden change to our connecting flight in Santiago Chile, I realised I needed to notify our destination pick-up driver urgently. First I tried calling the driving company (Servantrip BRA Airport Transfers) directly, but couldn't get through. So I then called Viator Customer Care, which by then was approximately 4 hours prior to the booked arrival time for the Private Arrival Transfer from Galeão Airport (CIG) to Rio de Janeiro. The telephone representative I spoke to (José from Viator Customer Care) was very polite and attentive. After placing me on hold momentarily while he contacted Servantrip BRA Airport Transfers, he then came back and assured me that that a driver would be there at the correct time for the new arrival 2 hours later. All seemed to be well and resolved in my world. However, soon after landing at 6:15 PM, in CIG, I received the text messages from the driver indicating he had arrived at 4:25 PM as per the original flight schedule. Apparently the driver had NOT been notified of the change, had waited for 40 minutes and then left. Having done my best to alert Viator of the change in schedule as soon as possible, with 4 hours notice, I believe it was unfair not to be credited $65.84 AUD paid for a service that ultimately did not happen. Anyone considering this type of booking should beware. If something unexpected happens to your flight schedule, and even if you give several hours notice of the change, you will most probably lose your pre-payment. Given the unpredictably of air travel, you're better off dealing directly with a chauffeur company, or maybe simply hailing a Yellow Taxi, as we ended up doing, which was about $30 AUD, less than half the price of this booking.
Response from the operator: Thank you, davidh, for your feedback. We are very sorry that your recent experience was not a pleasant one. Due to our terms and conditions, we cannot assure our customers to provide changes in products in less than 24 hours from the scheduled time of service. If you would like to receive a refund please contact Viator throw https://www.viator.com/help. Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will give us another chance to make things right.

Transfer: Galeão Airport(GIG) to Rio de Janeiro City: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.
How much does Transfer: Galeão Airport(GIG) to Rio de Janeiro City cost?
+
Prices start at $13 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Transfer: Galeão Airport(GIG) to Rio de Janeiro City take?
+
Plan for about 0.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.
Is Transfer: Galeão Airport(GIG) to Rio de Janeiro City worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Transfer: Galeão Airport(GIG) to Rio de Janeiro City?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Transfer: Galeão Airport(GIG) to Rio de Janeiro City suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Transfer: Galeão Airport(GIG) to Rio de Janeiro City?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 0.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Transfer: Galeão Airport(GIG) to Rio de Janeiro City start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?
+
On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included, Rio: Tijuca Rainforest Hike, Wildlife, Waterfalls & Caves, Explore the Best of Tijuca Forest – Hike to Peaks, Caves & Falls. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
