5-stars from a U.S. Travel Agent
I am a travel agent in the U.S. and my clients contacted me from their cruise ship less than 24 hours prior to disembarking saying they changed their mind and wanted a private transfer to Rome airport. Manuele pretty much dropped everything to secure a van for 4 passengers and 6 suitcases for the following morning. The transfer was perfect. Italyvipcar has permits that allow it to meet clients directly at the ship instead of clients needing to walk 10 minutes with luggage to find them. They provided the driver name and mobile and everything went flawless. (My clients think I work magic!) It was good to meet Manuele and great to know that Italyvipcar is available for future services not only at Civitavecchia, but also in and around central Rome. Grazie mille!!
Response from the operator: Thanks a lot We are waiting for your customers again on board our vans

Excellent transfer!
Excellent transfer service from Rome hotel to the port. Excellent communication, showed up on time, very helpful with luggage. Huge comfortable van that accommodated 8 adults and all of our luggage! Would definitely use them again!

A True Professional
The driver from ItalyVIPCar, Manuele, was on time, professional, knew the lay of the land, safe, friendly, and full of interesting details about where we were going and Rome in general. He got us right in front of our destination, unlike other drivers who were letting passengers off at a shuttle stop… we would recommend Manuele any Time!!
Response from the operator: Thanks for the review we are waiting for you again here in Italy ❤️

Efficient and Professional
We had a tight connection from our disembarking from our cruise to our flight at the Rome Airport. Everyone in our group was nervous, so I decided to schedule a transfer through Viator. This transfer was incredibly professional and efficient. The driver was punctual and delivered us from the Cruise terminal to the airport flawlessly. The driver was professional, punctual, and efficient and he completely took all of the stress out of our transfer and closed a wonderful vacation out perfectly. If you are looking for the best transfer from the Civitavecchia port to the FCO airport or any other transfer around the area, most definitely conder this option.
Response from the operator: Thanks🫶

Transfer Civitavecchia Port: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Matera.
How much does Transfer Civitavecchia Port cost?
+
Prices start at $214 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Matera usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Transfer Civitavecchia Port take?
+
Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Matera is not rushed.
Is Transfer Civitavecchia Port worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Matera, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Transfer Civitavecchia Port?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Transfer Civitavecchia Port suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Transfer Civitavecchia Port?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Matera can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Matera and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Transfer Civitavecchia Port start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Matera within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Matera?
+
On Outty we rank every Matera experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Discover Matera, the ancient city - English tour, Tour in the Sassi of Matera with Casa Grotta and Rock Church, Matera's Sassi Walking Tour - PREMIUM GUIDES. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Matera?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Matera?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Transfer Civitavecchia Port?
+
Included: Private transportation; On-board WiFi; All Fees and Taxes; and In-vehicle air conditioning. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Transfer Civitavecchia Port include hotel pickup?

+

+
