    I did the Makgeolli &...

I did the Makgeolli & Soju Tasting in early October. It was lovely! Isaac spent lots of time explaining how makgeolli and soju are made and answering all of our questions. We were a small group of three but we had a lot of questions and Isaac carefully checked that we didn't have competing evening plans before he spent extra time answering them. I'd recommend it for an interesting and chill early evening activity. It was nice for me to do as a solo traveler.

The highlight of my solo trip. More than just a tasting, this was a deep dive into Korean drinking culture. Getting to learn the rich history behind the traditional soju and makgeolli while guided through the flavors was incredible. Insightful, welcoming, and delicious! I couldn't have asked for a better evening.

A lovely time learning about and tasting craft soju and makegoli

Issac was friendly and knowledgeable, and forgave us for not allowing for travel time in busy Seoul and arriving 15 mins late. We tasted over 15 ( I lost count) soju and makegolis, learning about their variability, craft vs commercial products, and how they are made. A lovely quiet hour and a half out on our first night in Seoul.

    Lots of glasses!

Just a really nice way to one learn a little bit about the history and the process for making both Makgeolli and Soju. You also get to try a wide range from mass produced to local varieties. If your looking for a good starter for Korean alcohol this is an easy recommendation.
