Cooking class with Roy

Roy took such good care of Ryan and I! Roy welcomed us into his cooking space and treated us like special guests! We learned how to make pizza! We laughed, we had sparkling wine and we made delicious pizza! He taught us about the art of making pizza! He was patient, kind and very nice to speak with! Now, when we thought the cooking experience ended, he brought us out a heart shaped Nutella pizza to celebrate our honeymoon! He had more surprises such as letting us have rolling pins from this shop! Overall it was a tremendous experience for Ryan and I! The experience Roy gave us, is the reason why we want to come back to Rome again one day! Beautiful people, beautiful country and beautiful food! Grazie!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are truly delighted to hear that you and Ryan had such a memorable experience with Roy. It means a lot to know that you enjoyed not only learning the art of pizza making, but also the warm atmosphere, the laughs, and the little surprises that made your honeymoon celebration even more special. We are honored to have been a part of your honeymoon and hope that every time you make pizza at home, you'll think back to your time in Rome with a smile. Thank you again for choosing us. We can't wait to welcome you both back to Rome for another delicious experience! Warm regards, The Team

Best Cooking Class in All Of Rome

Our family of four (12&14 year olds) did pizza training with Vittoria and it was such a great experience. Firstly, you are cooking overlooking the Tiber River with incredible views. Vittoria was so kind and patient with our two boys. The hands on training we received will surely be brought back home with us so we can continue this family activity. My one son ate pizza at almost every meal throughout our 10 day trip across Italy and he said Vittoria’s pizza was the best. You get to take home the recipes so no need to take notes while you are cooking. We also met the owner Fabio who was very nice as well. We received such 5 star treatment and recommend this activity for beginners to seasoned foodies. Thank you Vittoria!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was truly a pleasure welcoming your family and sharing this experience with you. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the breathtaking view over the Tiber River and, most importantly, that Vittoria made the class engaging and enjoyable for both of your boys. Knowing that the techniques and recipes will travel home with you and become part of your family’s pizza-making tradition is the greatest compliment we could receive. We are especially honored that your son, after enjoying pizza throughout Italy, considered Vittoria’s pizza the best of the trip! We will be sure to share your kind words with her. Fabio and the entire team are grateful for your appreciation, and we are thrilled that you felt so well taken care of during your visit. Thank you again for choosing us and for recommending the experience to other travelers. We hope to welcome your family back to Rome someday for another memorable cooking adventure! Warm regards

Traditional Roman Pizza Making Class with Wine: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Traditional Roman Pizza Making Class with Wine cost?

+

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Traditional Roman Pizza Making Class with Wine take?

+

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Traditional Roman Pizza Making Class with Wine worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Traditional Roman Pizza Making Class with Wine?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Traditional Roman Pizza Making Class with Wine suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Traditional Roman Pizza Making Class with Wine?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Traditional Roman Pizza Making Class with Wine start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
