A truly special cooking experience for the whole family

We had an incredible day at Annamaria Cooking School and can't recommend it highly enough. We're a couple traveling with our teenage daughter, based in Naples for our trip, and took the train out for the day. The family picked us up in their shuttle right on time, and from the moment we arrived we felt genuinely welcomed. They started us off with a walk through their farm and garden, letting us choose the vegetables and fruit we'd be cooking with that day — all depending on the season. Along the way they shared the story of the family, the farm, and how the cooking school came to be, which made the whole experience feel personal rather than touristy. Once in the kitchen, we were given our ingredients along with wine and water, and the cooking (and learning) began. We made some genuinely amazing dishes, and spending that time cooking and chatting with Anna Maria was such a pleasure — she's warm, funny, and clearly loves what she does. Sitting down afterward to eat everything we'd made, with that gorgeous view over the hills, was the perfect way to end the class. A truly special experience for all three of us — we'd do it again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento.

A Truly Authentic Italian Cooking Experience

Our cooking class with Annamaria was a wonderful experience and one of the highlights of our trip. We loved that it took place in her home, which made it feel truly special and personal. It was a private, intimate experience rather than a large, overly touristic or commercial class, and that made all the difference. We prepared an incredible meal together, including ravioli, braciola, tagliatelle, fried pizza dough, and lava cake. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we’re excited to take the recipes home with us and recreate the dishes in the future to share with friends and family. Annamaria was warm, welcoming, and made us feel like part of her family from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic, memorable cooking class in Italy.

    Amazing experience

The experience was incredible. From Gianlucca picking us up from our resort and taking us through the back road, to Guido the golden retriever being the best welcomer to the Villa. Our teacher Giovanni (Govi) was the true star! He was incredibly kind and made us feel like family from the minute we stepped on the property. Despite dealing with a broken ankle, Anna Maria (the owner) came down to say hello and welcome my fiance and I to her home. Villa Pane is a family-run, authentic experience that I recommend to anyone visiting Sorrento.

This was a fantastic cooking class and overall experience. Giovanny treated us as his family and taught us so much. The food was fantastic and the views at the house are unbelievable.

    A Superior Culinary Experience!!!

We had a fantastic time at Villa Pane! Meatballs, gnocchi, sauce, tiramisu, bread, were just some of the delicious food we prepared under the direction of Anna Maria, Mariam and Giovanni, our new Italian family members. Everyone at Villa Pane worked to ensure that we had a fabulous time. Wine and lemoncillo flowed as we created our culinary delights! We were given a certificate and menu booklet to take home, along with wonderful memories. Terrific experience!

Traditional Neapolitan cooking class: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sorrento.

How much does Traditional Neapolitan cooking class cost?

    +

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sorrento usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Traditional Neapolitan cooking class take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sorrento is not rushed.

Is Traditional Neapolitan cooking class worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Traditional Neapolitan cooking class?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Traditional Neapolitan cooking class suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Traditional Neapolitan cooking class?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sorrento can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sorrento and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Traditional Neapolitan cooking class start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sorrento within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sorrento?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sorrento experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pizza School with Wine and Limoncello Tasting in a Local Farm, Private Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Sorrento or Naples, Sorrento Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, Wine tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sorrento?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sorrento?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
