Once in a lifetime chance to learn a traditional recipe.

I can't recommend this cooking class enough! When do you get the chance to be welcomed into a Costa Rican's home and learn how to make a simple, traditional, and delicious meal. David and his family were so friendly and hospitable. I'll admit we were somewhat nervous booking this, but we took a chance and I'm so glad we did! Don't hesitate! You will have so much fun and go home with a recipe for a traditional Costa Rican dish!

Response from the operator: Hello Jay, thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful review. We feel very honor to be part of your vacation and celebration. We will be looking forward to seeing pictures of your tortillas and empandas once you get back home. Thanks once more for visiting us, take care and pura vida.! Cordially, David, Mile, Marypaz and Isaac :)

    wonderful cooking experience!

One of the most memorable experiences of being in Costa Rica! David and his wife Melly and his family baby Isaac and Maripaz were so welcoming to my own family of two teens, infant, and mom. We learned how to make tortillas and empanadas. Then we filled them with yummy chicken, cheese and beans and drank them with a special drinks made of cane and pineapple. It was so refreshing and wonderful. We felt like we were with family and we made new friends. Baby Isaac even washed my car while we cooked! Super adorable. Must do in Costa Rica for a real family get together experience

Response from the operator: Hi, thank you so much for sharing your review. It was amazing meeting you all and show you how we make tortillas and empanadas in CR. Hopefully we will see you again in your next visit to our country :) Take care and pura vida ;)
