    Wonderful experience

My family of 6 (teens & adults) had a wonderful experience visiting a traditional farm and meeting the family who has lived there for hundreds of years. We loved picking vegetables in the garden, making and eating our meal, tasting homemade liqueurs and learning about the history and culture of the farm community, Our guides were passionate about their home, family, history and healthy eating. Their english was clear and easy to understand. Another highlight was Oliver who was our driver to and from the event. He was super friendly and eager to share information about growing up and living life in Dubrovnik area. His company Dubrovnik Food Story offers other tours which i will definitely look into if we are in the area again.

Response from the operator: Dear Barbara, thank you so much for this wonderful review! We’re delighted your family of six had such a memorable time on the farm. It’s lovely to hear the family’s passion for their home and healthy living really came through. We’re also so glad Oliver added to the experience with his friendly company and stories about life in the Dubrovnik area! Thank you for your kind words, and we’d love to welcome you back for another tour whenever you’re in the area again!

Cooking class was the highlight of our trip to Croatia.

My daughters and I went to the cooking class outside Dubrovnik and it was the highlight of our trip to Croatia. Transportation was seamless, the hosts were delightful, we felt that we learned a lot about the local culture, and the cooking and meal were fun and delicious. We also really enjoyed the other participants in the class

Response from the operator: Dear Janet, thank you so much for these kind words! We’re thrilled that you and your daughters had such a memorable experience - getting to share our local culture, food and traditions with visitors is exactly why we do this. It’s wonderful to hear the transportation, hosts and group atmosphere all came together to make it special. Hvala vam puno, and we hope to welcome you back to Dubrovnik again someday!😊

    Not to be missed!

From the pick up and return to Dubrovnik by van, to the harvesting of our herbs and vegetables in the garden, the baking of our bread and the prep of our meal, it was a great experience. The host family was gracious and eager to share their way of life with their guests. A special thank you to our tour operator who went out of her way to help me recover something important I had inadvertently left behind. A wonderful evening!

Response from the operator: Dear Laia, thank you so much for this wonderful review, it truly made our day! We’re so glad the full experience came together for you, from the van ride out of Dubrovnik to harvesting in the garden and baking bread with the family. And of course retrieving your belongings was absolutely no trouble at all! That’s what we’re here for. We hope to welcome you back to the Croatian countryside someday. Until then, hvala i sretno!

    The best experience!

What an amazing experience! We were lucky enough to have a cooking class all to ourselves, with the lovely Nike. It was so refreshing to walk through the garden where the fruit and vegetables were growing, pick the ingredients that we were using to cook with and learn all about how they run their home and business. The food we cooked at the end tasted great too. Oliver was the friendliest driver and kept us entertained on the way there and back, where we learned even more about the area and its people. It was certainly the most personable experience of our trip. Couldn’t recommend enough- thank you!

Response from the operator: Dear Amy, thank you for this wonderful review! Nike will be so happy to read this, she puts so much love into every class, from the garden to the table. And I’ll make sure Oliver sees your kind words too! Having the class all to yourselves with that personal touch is exactly what makes this experience so special. Hope to welcome you back one day!

    Authentic countryside dinner experience

We truly enjoyed our time with this welcoming family. We each got a chance to make bread and help with some light prep work (chopping veggies) for the meal. I thought the cooking would be more of the focus but great none the less. We helped pick food from the garden, met chickens and went to a neighboring family to get goat milk and cheese. We met their cows and also fed and milked goats. Came back and had an absolutely delicious meal. Amazing experience! Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Dear Caitlin, thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled you had such a memorable experience with our host family. From baking bread and harvesting from the garden, to visiting the neighboring farm for fresh goat milk and cheese, we love that you got to experience the full journey from farm to table. We appreciate your feedback about the cooking focus and will keep that in mind as we continue to improve the experience. We hope to welcome you again soon! 🙂

Traditional Cooking Class in Dubrovnik Countryside: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubrovnik.

How much does Traditional Cooking Class in Dubrovnik Countryside cost?

    +

Prices start at $284 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubrovnik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Traditional Cooking Class in Dubrovnik Countryside take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubrovnik is not rushed.

Is Traditional Cooking Class in Dubrovnik Countryside worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 175 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubrovnik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Traditional Cooking Class in Dubrovnik Countryside?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Traditional Cooking Class in Dubrovnik Countryside suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Traditional Cooking Class in Dubrovnik Countryside?

    +

Around 61 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubrovnik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Traditional Cooking Class in Dubrovnik Countryside start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubrovnik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h), Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
