Very nice!

I was only person signed up so we only did robbers island and then walked about the waterfront at my request. Faizallah was very accommodating and got me to the front of lines and quickly boarded. She knew the ins and outs and it was reassuring to have someone give the best directions. After robbers island I wanted to see the waterfront so she managed to tour me around which was delightful. Showed me some of the most lovely spots for views and rooftop drinks and dining. She is very knowledgeable and goes a long way to make sure her clients are cared for! Though it was a bit different what I booked, it was just as wonderful with her company and orientation and understanding what I was interested to see and finding a way to fit it in!

Response from the operator: Hi Mary you are one wonderful human being so very kind and a heart of gold. It was lovely to be with you too. We are so sorry you were not able to visit the townships as our partners cannot operate a one person tour. The refund for the township tour will be in your bank within 5 working days. Best wishes. and we are so very thankful and grateful to you for booking with us. Wishing you and you family well always.

Essential tour for better understanding the human condition

Each guide provided excellent general and personal insights that enabled us to better understand South Africa’s recent history; the nature and personal impact of apartheid; and the current environment. Luduomo’s (sp?) willingness to share life in the settlements was appreciated and valuable to us. Faziela went above and beyond in enhancing our experience, keeping us informed, and providing transportation way. She used her local connections to give us access to amazing views of Cape Town. The District 6 area and museum, the township visit, the tour of Robben Island — such essential places to visit and all made better by two excelkent guides

Response from the operator: Hi Robert, We love to hear that your experience was fabulous! Many thanks for booking our township and Robben Island tours. We are so grateful to you. All my best Jameel.

One of the best guides ever.

Took me around the city to some highlights before the island tour. What an incredible guide with an incredible spirit that keeps you moving. She was so willing to spend as much time as I wanted at places and took me to an incredible coffee house too. One of the best guides I’ve had. Thank you Faziela for a great day of memories.

Township Tour District 6 Museum Robben Island drop off at hotel: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Township Tour District 6 Museum Robben Island drop off at hotel cost?

+

Prices start at $1500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Township Tour District 6 Museum Robben Island drop off at hotel take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is Township Tour District 6 Museum Robben Island drop off at hotel worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Township Tour District 6 Museum Robben Island drop off at hotel?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Township Tour District 6 Museum Robben Island drop off at hotel suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Township Tour District 6 Museum Robben Island drop off at hotel?

+

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Township Tour District 6 Museum Robben Island drop off at hotel start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

+

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
