What you'll see and do
Pachacamac
It is one of the most important archaeological sites on the Peruvian coast. With an extension of more than 465 hectares, construction began at the beginning of our era and its use was uninterrupted for about 1,500 years until the arrival of the Spanish conquerors in 1533. Here we can find evidence of four different cultures: Lima, Wari . Ychma and Inca; being the Ychmas, who carried out most of the constructions that are seen today in the place, highlighting their pyramids with a ramp. It has an excellent site museum and a huge number of ancient structures including temples, palaces, pyramids, aqueducts, cemeteries, squares, streets, etc. It was the home of one of the most feared divinities of ancient Peru known as Pachacamac, the one who had the power to move the earth and cause earthquakes, whose idol was found in the place and is exhibited in the museum.

Great tour with Alberto & Jose
We had a great morning with Alberto (our driver) and Jose (our guide). Jose was so knowledgeable about the tour and interesting to speak with during the drive as he shared a lot about Lima and the history. We would highly recommend!

A great tour today with Jose and Alberto
Jose was our guide. And Alberto our driver. What a great tour! Jose was very knowledgeable and we learned so much not only about the tour, but also Lima … During the car ride along the way (about a 40 min drive) he shared a great deal about the area, the history, and helped make recommendations about what to see during our short visit. If we had more time we would book additional tours with him! Alberto was a great driver and attentive.

Our experience in Pachacamac.
An excellent tour. Me and my family were trying to search an experience in Lima about the natives of Peru. At first we were struggling because the only place that we could find out was the "Huaca Pucllana", but then, we found this tour at 40USD. In summary: our guide Partrick transfers us to Pachacamac museum and ruins. In the museum he told us the history and showed us the artifacts of these cultures, in the ruins he mostly talked about the architechture and how these old peruvians cultures lived, all of this in a lapse of 1.5 hours. Good: The historical value of pachacamac, the cost of the tour that it was 40USD, the fact that it was a small group (just two families) and patrick was a very knowledgeable guy in Peruvian history and culture. Bad: there were just only one problem: you can't enter to the ruins, this was because in the past people of the zone graffitied the zone. If you want an experienfe that is more about the historical value and less about breathtaking photos, this is an excellent tour to know about the history of Peru. Remember: bring a cap and a bottle of water because it is a desertic zone.

Tour to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac + Lunch show: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lima.
How much does Tour to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac + Lunch show cost?
+
Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lima usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tour to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac + Lunch show take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lima is not rushed.
Is Tour to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac + Lunch show worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lima, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tour to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac + Lunch show?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tour to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac + Lunch show suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tour to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac + Lunch show?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lima can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lima and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tour to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac + Lunch show start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lima within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lima?
+
On Outty we rank every Lima experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Paracas & Huacachina Day Trip from Lima with Sunset Toast, Discover Lima: Love Park, Historic Center, and its Catacombs., Paracas & Huacachina Premium Experience from Lima. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lima?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lima?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Tour to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac + Lunch show?
+
Included: Private transportation; tour guide; Lunch; and All Fees and Taxes. Not included: Carbonated beverages. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
