Cairo/Giza/Sakkara

Samir made a special trip even more special by being personally involved and hiring the best guides in the business to spend their days with us. Samir met us at the airport and took us to our hotel. He checked in with us and was available throughout our stay. Gad, our guide in Cairo is a highly accredited expert in Egyptology and was incredibly personable and informative. We learned so much about Giza, Sakkara, Coptic Cairo and at the Cairo museum and had a great time doing it. The daily itineraries were perfect with great lunch spots and enough downtime to talk, refresh and re-energize. Of course the sites speak for themselves but even better when you have guides that are enthusiastically explaining all of the history surrounding them. It was no different in Luxor with Saber, another expert guide that was respected and welcomed everywhere we went - Valley of the kings, Hatshepsut temple, Luxor and Karnak temples. In both Cairo and Luxor we were driven around in luxury vans with plenty of cold water and AC. We felt like we were with the most professional and respected team in Egypt. That was very comforting.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this beautifully detailed and thoughtful review! 🌟 Having you feel like you were traveling with the most professional and respected team in Egypt is the absolute highest praise we could ever hope to achieve. Samir is going to be incredibly touched when he reads your words! He treats every single guest like family, so being personally involved—from that first warm greeting at the airport to checking in throughout your stay—is exactly how he ensures everything runs flawlessly. Hearing your high praise for our handpicked team of experts is wonderful: * **Gad in Cairo:** We are thrilled that his deep Egyptology credentials, combined with his warm and personable style, brought Giza, Sakkara, Coptic Cairo, and the Museum to life so perfectly. Balancing rich history with great lunch spots and proper pacing is a true art form! * **Saber in Luxor:** He is indeed a legend in the field! Knowing that his highly respected presence made your visits to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut, Luxor, and Karnak temples feel so exclusive and welcoming means the world to us. We are also so glad that our logistics kept you completely comfortable. Navigating Egypt's iconic sights in premium, air-conditioned luxury vans with plenty of cold water is a must for a truly refreshing and relaxing experience. 🚗❄️ Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for highlighting the comfort, professionalism, and enthusiastic energy of our entire team. You arrived as guests, but you leave as part of the family. We already cannot wait to welcome you back for your next incredible adventure! 🇪🇬✨

Samir and Mohammed of Over Egypt Tours were an excellent pair. We wanted to see so much and experience as many pyramids as possible. We were not disappointed. We learned a lot and loved everything we saw. From the pickup to our return to our hotel, we were treated warmly and had a great many laughs. If you have a chance, book with this company. They are beyond great.

Samir and Mohamed make an absolutely fantastic team, and they are going to be incredibly proud when they read this. Samir takes great pride in making sure the logistics run flawlessly, while Mohamed absolutely loves sharing his deep knowledge. Knowing that your goal was to experience as many pyramids as possible and that they kept you smiling, learning, and completely captivated throughout the day means everything to us! We firmly believe that a great tour shouldn't just be educational—it should be an absolute blast. Hearing that you were treated so warmly and shared so many great laughs from the very moment of your hotel pickup to your safe return is exactly the kind of hospitality we pride ourselves on. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your enthusiastic recommendation and for choosing Rich Holidays . You arrived as guests, but you leave as part of our extended travel family. Tour to Pyramids, Sakkara & Dahshur: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.

How much does Tour to Pyramids, Sakkara & Dahshur cost?

+

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tour to Pyramids, Sakkara & Dahshur take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.

Is Tour to Pyramids, Sakkara & Dahshur worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tour to Pyramids, Sakkara & Dahshur?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tour to Pyramids, Sakkara & Dahshur suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Tour to Pyramids, Sakkara & Dahshur?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tour to Pyramids, Sakkara & Dahshur start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

+

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
