Best tour in Quito!

My friend and I had such a great time with Angela and Jamie!! They were the best guides, very personable and easy to spend time with. We enjoyed the local sites, such as the Virgin of Panecillo and Inglesia de San Francisco. The cooking class with Chef Francisco was the highlight of the day, followed closely with the visit to Pacari Chocolate cafe for some hot chocolate! The chocolate tasting at Yumbos Chocolate was also fantastic and informative on the chocolate making process. We wish we could have stayed longer in Quito - 5 days was not enough! Would love to do a tour again with Angela and Jamie too! Oh, and we went back to Santhorno Empanadas (Chef Francisco's restaurant) to try the empanadas and they were fantastic!

Response from the operator: Dear Lynn: Thank you kindly for taking the time to write about your experience with us, we do really appreciate. We wish you all the best on your future trips! Warm regards, Angela & Jamie Hally

An UNFORGETTABLE tour of Ecuador with Angela and Jamie.

We've just returned from an AMAZING 10-day tour of Ecuador with Angela and Jamie. They are fantastic tour guides and we enjoyed every single moment with them. They are knowledgeable, interesting and fun to be with. They are easy-going courteous and flexible: they tailor the tour to their customers and give perfect advises for attractions, restaurants, and shopping. Their service is impeccable: I contacted them long before our tour by email and always got quick and detailed answers which helped me in planning our trip. We were sorry when our tour ended and we feel like family with them. When you think of visiting Ecuador - don't hesitate and take Angela and Jamie as your guides. You'll have a perfect experience

Response from the operator: Dear Giladsr: Thank you for your lovely review, it mean all to us to hear that you have a great memory of your time with us in our country, we sure hope to see you and your lovely wife and kind friends again sometime in a near future. Sending you all our best wishes and our big hugs ! Your friends in Ecuador! Angela & Jamie

Tour History and Flavors of Ecuador

During our trip to Quito, we had booked the Flavors of Ecuador. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel until the end of the trip, the journey was incredibly personable and insightful. Jaime and Angela gave us a great overview of the ciity, its people, and the culture. This trip should be a must do for any visitor traveling to and through Ecuador. Afterwards, you’ll have a deeper appreciation for the Quito.

Response from the operator: Dear Client: Jamie and I, we do thank you kindly for your review on our services, it is encouraging for us to hear that you enjoyed the day in the city with us, sure hope to be able to see you and your lovely family back in Ecuador sometime in a near future. Warm regards to your lovely daughter and wife as well. Sincerely, Angela & Jamie Hally

Tour Quito with Cooking Class with Professional Chef: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quito.

How much does Tour Quito with Cooking Class with Professional Chef cost?

+

Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quito usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tour Quito with Cooking Class with Professional Chef take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quito is not rushed.

Is Tour Quito with Cooking Class with Professional Chef worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quito, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tour Quito with Cooking Class with Professional Chef?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tour Quito with Cooking Class with Professional Chef suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tour Quito with Cooking Class with Professional Chef?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quito can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quito and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tour Quito with Cooking Class with Professional Chef start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quito within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Quito?

+

On Outty we rank every Quito experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cotopaxi tour from Quito -horseback ride and hike-NO TOURISTY way, Baños Full Day Tour from Quito Including Entrances and Activities, Gastronomic and Cultural Walking Tour of Quito with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Quito?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Quito?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
