First thing: Book the boat ride (Hornblower) and the Journey behind the Falls.... don't skimp on this once-in-a-lifetime trip! We had several people who signed up for this tour, but neglected to actually book the full Niagara Falls experience! So, while most of us went walking to within a few feet of the crashing water, or cruising into the spray of millions of gallons of water, they waited up on high walls surrounding the falls. Sure, the pictures from the platforms can be amazing, but to actually be INSIDE the churning water or UNDER the falls is a bucket list item for many (and it was for me and my wife).
