What a way to explore beauty finds

I had such an amazing experience with Lisa. she was truly exceptional! I was actually running late, and she was so kind and patient to wait for me, which I really appreciated. From the moment we met, she made everything feel comfortable and fun. She showed me around Shibuya and even reminded me to take a picture at the famous crossing—she kindly took photos for me, which made the moment even more special. What I loved most was how easy it was to talk to her. She really took the time to understand what suits me, guiding me through skincare and makeup that actually works for me, along with what’s currently trending. This was my first time using an app like this, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect—but it turned out to be such a great experience. Having someone knowledgeable by your side in a new place makes such a difference, especially when everything feels overwhelming at first. Lisa made me feel at ease, answered all my questions, and showed me so many things I wouldn’t have found on my own. I now genuinely feel this is a must-do experience for anyone visiting. It made my trip so much more enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend seeking Lisa out if you’re looking for fashion advice, skincare, or makeup tips. she’s wonderful!

Response from the operator: Dear Naz, Thank you so much for such a heartwarming review! It was an absolute joy exploring Shibuya with you. You were so kind and sweet. I really appreciate how clearly you communicated your skincare concerns and the items you were looking for beforehand. Your frequent messages were incredibly helpful for me to prepare the perfect recommendations for you! I was also thrilled to see your genuine interest in Japanese cosmetics. I am so happy that I could make your first tour experience special and stress-free. Please enjoy your new beauty items! Take care, Lisa

    Exceptional, Invaluable Service

Lisa's help was invaluable, I am a solo traveller and Shibuya can be overwhelming, there is so much to choose from she made the experience enjoyable and less stressful. Her energy is so warm and welcoming she truly feels like more than a guide but a friend. Book Her, You Won't Regret It!

Response from the operator: Dear Shamara, Thank you so much for joining my tour! I absolutely loved our conversation and hearing so much about your country and your life. Your warm and easygoing personality made our time together so special for me, too. Please enjoy wearing all those lipsticks! Take care!

    Thank you!

I met Lisa in Shibuya to shop for Japanese skincare goods and get an expert opinion on what to buy, what locals prefer, and her personal recommendations. Lisa is lovely to hang out with and I had a great time wandering through shops together. This tour is like shopping with a friend and I sincerely recommend it, especially for solo travelers! Thank you, Lisa. I'm honored to be your first tour client!

Response from the operator: Hi Kathleen, Thank you very much for your kind and wonderful review. Your feedback is truly appreciated. I am very grateful that you booked my first tour, and I sincerely enjoyed our time shopping together in Shibuya! I am also sorry that the meeting point was difficult to find, and I appreciate your understanding. I hope you enjoy all the items we found in Japan after you return home! Best regards, Lisa

Truly Special Experience – Absolutely Recommended!

We were lucky enough to join Lisa’s Personalized Cosmetic Shopping Experience as a private tour, and we can recommend it without any hesitation! Lisa is a wonderful guide – incredibly engaged, kind and friendly, as well as highly knowledgeable and professional. From the very first message, she responded quickly, helped us shape our ideas, and customized the tour perfectly to our wishes. She is flexible, reliable, and truly passionate about what she does – you can feel that right away. But let’s start from the beginning: Do you really need a guide for cosmetic shopping? At first, that might sound unnecessary – but after our experience, the answer is a clear yes! Before our first trip to Japan, we had done lots of research online and saved dozens of “must-buy” products. Yet once you actually stand inside a Japanese drugstore, you realize how overwhelming it can be – unfamiliar brands, different packaging, Japanese labels everywhere, and an endless selection. That’s when Lisa becomes absolutely invaluable. She guided us confidently through the cosmetic and drugstore jungle, showing us the best products, explaining everything in detail, and tailoring the experience exactly to our interests. We really appreciated that Lisa recommended products based on her personal experience, which made her suggestions feel authentic and trustworthy. She also kept our interest in natural ingredients in mind when making recommendations, which we really appreciated. Lisa led us from shop to shop, incorporated new requests spontaneously, and helped us find amazing items we never would have discovered on our own. Beyond her expertise, we were especially touched by Lisa as a person: warm, friendly, and genuinely lovely to be around. After the tour, we invited her for tea, and she took us to a beautiful café with a direct view of the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing – a hidden gem we would never have found ourselves! Our conclusion: This private tour was worth every cent. We discovered not only wonderful products and shops but also met a very special person. We can wholeheartedly recommend Lisa and her experience to anyone who wants to explore and enjoy Japan’s fascinating world of beauty products. Thank you so much, dear Lisa – you enriched our stay in Tokyo with an unforgettable experience! 💛

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a beautiful and thoughtful message. I’m truly touched by your kindness and by how warmly you described your experience. I’m so happy you enjoyed exploring Japan’s beauty products and our little Shibuya sightseeing together — it was such a special day for me too, one I’ll never forget.😊

Tokyo Shibuya Skincare & Makeup J-Beauty Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.

How much does Tokyo Shibuya Skincare & Makeup J-Beauty Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $38 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tokyo Shibuya Skincare & Makeup J-Beauty Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.

Is Tokyo Shibuya Skincare & Makeup J-Beauty Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tokyo Shibuya Skincare & Makeup J-Beauty Walking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tokyo Shibuya Skincare & Makeup J-Beauty Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tokyo Shibuya Skincare & Makeup J-Beauty Walking Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tokyo Shibuya Skincare & Makeup J-Beauty Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tokyo?

    +

Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tokyo?

    +

Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tokyo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
