Calligraphy class roppongi
Owner is nice and helpful. But location is kind of hard to find and no signs on entrance door on the second floor). Location holds class during the day and a karaoke bar at night. So probably why it's dark and windowless class room. I want to like this class but it's not as enjoyable as I thought it would be. There's always room for improvement!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for visiting us and for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. First of all, we sincerely appreciate your kind words about our staff. At the same time, we are sorry that the location was difficult to find and that the entrance signage and classroom atmosphere did not meet your expectations. As our studio is located on the second floor of the building, we understand that it can be difficult for first-time visitors to find. We will continue to improve our directions and pre-arrival guidance to make the location easier to access. We will also review our services and environment so that we can provide a more enjoyable and satisfying experience for our guests. Thank you again for sharing your honest feedback. We truly appreciate it.

Relaxing Break from the Shops
It was a lot of fun! I was expecting it to be focused solely on the stamp making, but I learned some kanji as well. Would definitely recommend if you want a relaxing break before hitting the Tokyo streets again.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for visiting us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience. We are especially happy that you were able to experience not only stamp making, but also learn about kanji and Japanese culture. We are also glad to know that you were able to enjoy a relaxing break during your time exploring Tokyo. We hope that the personalized stamp you created will remain a wonderful memory of your trip to Japan. If you visit Tokyo again, please feel free to stop by anytime.

We are especially happy that you enjoyed your personalized stamp and that you found the experience worthwhile. We hope that your experience and your original hanko will remain a special memory of your trip to Japan for many years to come. If you visit Tokyo again, please feel free to stop by anytime.

Fun, but not quite as expected
Fun, but not quite as expected. Thought we would get a guided lesson on calligraphy and how to make strokes, what different lines meant, etc, but it was a short one to one, which was nice, but not very informative. The stamp in created in advance so make sure you answer the email from the operator to get the picture you want. No bag was included, not sure if that's just old info but it didn't happen. The personalized name and video were cute though. Just felt pared down for the money and not as much of a lesson as expected.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for visiting us and for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience and that you liked the personalized name design and video. At the same time, we sincerely apologize that the lesson did not fully meet your expectations. Our original Japanese seals are produced using a specialized engraving machine, and each seal takes approximately 30 minutes to create. For this reason, guests select their preferred design in advance, and while the seal is being produced, they can enjoy a calligraphy experience and learn about Japanese culture. However, we understand that our description and pre-arrival information may not have been clear enough, which led to a different experience than you expected. We take your feedback seriously. We will use your comments to improve our explanations and provide a more satisfying experience for future guests. Thank you again for your honest feedback.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for visiting us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed both the calligraphy experience and the stamp-making process. We are especially happy to know that you loved your finished hanko. We hope that your experience and your personalized stamp will remain a wonderful memory of your trip to Japan for many years to come. If you visit Tokyo again, please feel free to stop by anytime.

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tokyo Roppongi: Create Your Personalized Japanese Seal Stamp: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.
How much does Tokyo Roppongi: Create Your Personalized Japanese Seal Stamp cost?
+
Prices start at $2500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tokyo Roppongi: Create Your Personalized Japanese Seal Stamp take?
+
Plan for about 0.7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.
Is Tokyo Roppongi: Create Your Personalized Japanese Seal Stamp worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 63 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tokyo Roppongi: Create Your Personalized Japanese Seal Stamp?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tokyo Roppongi: Create Your Personalized Japanese Seal Stamp suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 0.7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Tokyo Roppongi: Create Your Personalized Japanese Seal Stamp?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 0.7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tokyo Roppongi: Create Your Personalized Japanese Seal Stamp start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tokyo?
+
Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tokyo?
+
Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tokyo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
