    Ramen Making Class

This tour was the highlight of our visit to Tokyo. Yuki, the host, was very welcoming to us in her home. The cooking experience was a lot of fun and we learnt a lot. She made it very easy for us and the food tasted amazing. Her place was easy to get to and she communicated very well before our tour to make it simple to find. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

    Great for families

Yuki is a great host! Came with my two kids and their grandma. Everyone enjoyed the class. Everything was very suitable for 10-12 year olds to do. Instructions are clear and we got to see a lot of really cool Japanese kitchenware ! I definitely recommend the class to any family.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a pleasure having your family in my class. I'm so happy everyone, including your kids and grandma, enjoyed the experience. Thank you for your recommendation, and I hope to welcome you all back again someday!

authentic intimate fun cooking experience and meal

Lovely intimate learning experience in Yuki's home. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and speaks English well. We had fun, learnt so much and are looking forward to trying our new skills at home. There was so much food we couldn't finish it all. Best gyoza we have ever eaten! We highly recommend making a booking.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! ✨ It was such a pleasure having you in my home and cooking together. I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the class and learned new skills to take back home. And hearing that the gyoza were the best you’ve ever eaten truly made my day! 🥟💛 Thank you again for joining my class and for your kind recommendation. I hope you’ll recreate everything at home and enjoy a little taste of Japan again 😊

    Ramen/Gyoza class

To get straight to the point, Yuki is a fantastic cooking instructor (also a lovely person) and I would highly recommend her cooking classes to anyone interested in learning to make Japanese cuisine at home! In the ramen/gyoza class we took, Yuki walked us through the elements of the dishes we made and also highlighted what to do for different regional variations. Any questions I had (sometimes before I could ask it) she was able to answer! e.g. the purpose of different ingredients, their alternatives if you can't easily find them outside Japan, how to cook for friends with dietary requirements, etc etc. Quick note: I recommend that you bring your appetite because 1) not only is the food you make so delicious; but 2) there's a lot of it! By the end of the class, my partner and I felt very confident we could easily apply what we had learnt back home and cook for (and impress) ourselves, family and friends. Thanks again Yuki!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review! I’m so happy to hear that both of you enjoyed the ramen and gyoza class and felt confident recreating the dishes at home 😊 It was a pleasure cooking with you and talking about ingredients, substitutions, and different ways to enjoy Japanese cooking. And yes… there’s always a lot of food in my classes! 😄 I truly appreciate your recommendation, and I hope you’ll continue enjoying Japanese home cooking with your family and friends. Thank you again, and I hope to see you both again someday!

    Living a dream ✨️

Had an amazing experience. She was patience and was able to adjust to a vegan option on the spot (I forgot to put it in for a family member). The food was amazing. Her teaching style is very auntie-like. I love the dumplings. I have not bought them since she taught me how to make them. And her green beans with the crush sesame seeds was Devine. The ramen 😍 😋 the ramen was everything you could dream of. Talk about living the dream.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I’m really glad I could accommodate the vegan option and that you enjoyed all the dishes. It makes me so happy to hear you’re making the dumplings at home now! I also appreciate your kind words about my teaching style—I always try to make everyone feel comfortable and at home. It was a pleasure cooking with you, and I’d love to welcome you back anytime 😊

Tokyo: Ramen, Gyoza and Veggie Side Dish Class Near Yanaka: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.

How much does Tokyo: Ramen, Gyoza and Veggie Side Dish Class Near Yanaka cost?

    +

Prices start at $20000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tokyo: Ramen, Gyoza and Veggie Side Dish Class Near Yanaka take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.

Is Tokyo: Ramen, Gyoza and Veggie Side Dish Class Near Yanaka worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tokyo: Ramen, Gyoza and Veggie Side Dish Class Near Yanaka?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tokyo: Ramen, Gyoza and Veggie Side Dish Class Near Yanaka suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tokyo: Ramen, Gyoza and Veggie Side Dish Class Near Yanaka?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tokyo: Ramen, Gyoza and Veggie Side Dish Class Near Yanaka start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tokyo?

    +

Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tokyo?

    +

Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tokyo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
