In the wheelchair so Sam took really good care of us. He was very knowledgeable on the sites we took in around Tokyo. Easy to communicate as fluent in English. Nice drive into the city in well kept vehicle with lots of room

An amazing day exploring Tokyo
Jason is an amazing guide, and our Tokyo tour with him was truly a wonderful experience. He gave us great insight into the main attractions of Tokyo while making the entire day enjoyable and easy to follow, even while traveling with two kids aged 2 and 12. His friendly and calm approach made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. Jason was extremely patient and attentive, especially with our children, which we really appreciated. He provided clear and engaging explanations about many aspects of Japanese history, culture, and daily living habits, making the tour both educational and entertaining for everyone. He was always happy to answer our questions and adjusted the pace to suit our family’s needs. The tour content was very thoughtfully planned, and the time was used in an efficient and well-organized way, allowing us to see and experience a lot without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Thank you, Jason, for such a wonderful and memorable day in Tokyo—we truly had a great time and will cherish these memories.

A Wonderful Tokyo City Tour with Ali – Friendly, Flexible, and Memorable
Ali is a very nice, polite, and genuinely thoughtful guide, and we truly appreciated the kindness he showed us throughout the entire day. From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable and welcomed, taking the time to listen carefully to what we wanted to see and do. My daughter-in-law, Mari, had created a list of places and experiences she hoped to cover, and Ali made sure that we fulfilled nearly everything on that list without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. It was clear that he genuinely wanted our day to go exactly the way we imagined it. One of the things we appreciated most was how flexible and accommodating he was. Instead of simply following a fixed route, he gave us options at every stage of the trip, allowing us to choose what mattered most to us. That level of consideration made the entire experience feel personal and tailored, which is something you don’t always get with tours. Having the freedom to select our stops — while still having the guidance of someone who knows the area well — was a perfect balance, especially since we had already planned specific places we wanted to visit. We truly enjoyed our time with Ali. He was easy to talk to, respectful, and always ready to assist us whenever we needed something. His calm and pleasant demeanor made the whole day smooth and enjoyable. It felt less like being with a guide and more like being with someone who genuinely cared about our comfort and happiness. And we absolutely have to mention the ride — it was incredibly comfortable. The vehicle was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, which made a big difference during a full day of sightseeing. Having such a comfortable ride was a big plus for all of us, and it allowed us to relax in between stops and enjoy the journey just as much as the destinations. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and we will definitely continue using this app for future trips. Thank you, Ali, for taking great care of us and helping us create a memorable day.

A Wonderful Day
Today we had Ali as our tour guide, and from the very start of the morning until the end of the evening, he was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to my family and me. From the moment we met him, Ali made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. His passion for Tokyo, attention to detail, and genuine care for his guests truly stood out throughout the entire day. We visited so many of Tokyo’s most popular attractions, and thanks to Ali’s careful planning, everything went smoothly and stress-free. We started our adventure at the lively Tsukiji Market, where we enjoyed the local atmosphere and sampled delicious treats. Then we made our way to the historic Asakusa Shrine, where Ali shared fascinating stories about Japan’s culture and traditions. Lunch at Tokyo Skytree was a highlight, offering spectacular city views and great food. In the afternoon, we explored Akihabara, admired the serenity of Meiji Shrine, and ended our tour at the iconic Shibuya Crossing. Each stop was perfectly timed, allowing us to truly experience and enjoy each place without feeling rushed. Ali went above and beyond to tailor the tour to our interests, creating a day filled with joy, learning, and unforgettable memories. Thank you, Ali, for making our first Tokyo city tour absolutely incredible—we couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day!

Loved this tour!
Though there was an itinerary listed for this tour, our driver/guide Sam tailored the itinerary for our whole day tour to what we were interested seeing. At each stop, he gave us insight and history for our understanding of what we were experiencing and seeing. He was wonderful! So knowledgeable and so friendly. And he took us to a delicious lunch spot. We highly recommend Sam and this tour. It was well worth the money we spent.

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tokyo City Adventures Private English Tour With Hotel Pickup: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.
How much does Tokyo City Adventures Private English Tour With Hotel Pickup cost?
+
Prices start at $69500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tokyo City Adventures Private English Tour With Hotel Pickup take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.
Is Tokyo City Adventures Private English Tour With Hotel Pickup worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tokyo City Adventures Private English Tour With Hotel Pickup?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tokyo City Adventures Private English Tour With Hotel Pickup suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tokyo City Adventures Private English Tour With Hotel Pickup?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tokyo City Adventures Private English Tour With Hotel Pickup start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tokyo?
+
Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tokyo?
+
Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tokyo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
