Zina Made This Tour Unforgettable — Perfect for Mixed Anime Knowledge Levels
Our tour was fantastic, and the tour guide, Zina, was friendly, informative, and fun! We enjoyed seeing the interesting little back-area stores we wouldn't have ventured into. Zina made the tour fun for all of us (2 parents with little anime/video game knowledge and a 19-year-old with lots of anime/game knowledge). Zina knew her way around and was truly a delight to spend time with. The maid cafe was a nice addition and gave some time to sit down. Thank you, Zina!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed exploring Akihabara with us. It's especially great to know that the tour was enjoyable for everyone in your group, from the anime and gaming enthusiast to those who were less familiar with the area. We're glad you enjoyed discovering some of Akihabara's hidden gems and that the maid café was a pleasant addition to the experience. Thank you again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back on another tour in the future!

Good Tour & Great Guide
Our Guide Yu was very open minded about the focus of the tour (Anime, Games, Collectibles, etc...) and answered all our questions. She was very easy to talk to and the Maid Cafe Experience at the end, was a real highlight. (Not only because of the cute maids and the show, but also because of the presence of her.) I'm very glad I decided to book the tour. I had a great time.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this truly lovely and kind feedback :) We’re honestly really touched reading your words. It means a lot to see how much you appreciated Yu’s openness and the way she adapted the tour to your interests. And we love that the Maid Cafe experience stood out so much ! Your review is genuinely so kind, thank you again for taking the time to share it. We’ll make sure Yu sees it, she’ll be really happy :)

This was a great and fun experience. My tour guide Yu-san, was amazing. She showed me great stores and locations for different otaku needs. And she taught me about about the history of Akihabara. She also was a great help and made it even better a the maid café. I would highly recommend Yu-san and this tour to anyone interested in both. Thank you kindly Yu--san, I wish you the best with your future plans. Davy

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tokyo Akihabara Anime Culture, Retro Game & Maid Cafe Visit: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.
How much does Tokyo Akihabara Anime Culture, Retro Game & Maid Cafe Visit cost?
+
Prices start at $6875 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tokyo Akihabara Anime Culture, Retro Game & Maid Cafe Visit take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.
Is Tokyo Akihabara Anime Culture, Retro Game & Maid Cafe Visit worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tokyo Akihabara Anime Culture, Retro Game & Maid Cafe Visit?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tokyo Akihabara Anime Culture, Retro Game & Maid Cafe Visit suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tokyo Akihabara Anime Culture, Retro Game & Maid Cafe Visit?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tokyo Akihabara Anime Culture, Retro Game & Maid Cafe Visit start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tokyo?
+
Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tokyo?
+
Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tokyo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
