    About this experience

ALL-INCLUSIVE TIN CITY WALKING TOUR (PASO ROBLES) Tin City Paso Robles is one of the most unique places to go wine tasting, but planning the perfect visit can be harder than it looks. With dozens of small producers, limited seating, and no clear route, it’s easy to miss the best spots or spend too much time figuring out where to go next. This guided walking tour turns that into a seamless, curated experience, combining boutique wineries, lunch at Etto Pastabar, and craft spirits into one perfectly paced day. Walk between tasting rooms, visit top producers, enjoy a family-style lunch, and finish with a spirits tasting, all without worrying about reservations or timing.

    What you'll see and do

    1. Giornata

Step into this boutique winery focusing on high quality handcrafted Italian varieties, and the second winery to exist in Tin City. You’ll sip through a small selection of elegant, naturally made, old world style Italian wines and talk about their winemaking practices, including the use of amphorae, sustainable farming, the history of obscure Italian varieties in San Luis Obispo county and the building the Giornata & Etto brands in (at the time) little known Tin City.

40 minutes here · Admission included

    2. After a short walk through Tin City, we’ll visit END OF THE DAY wines and learn about how winemaker Carl Bowker went from producing highly-acclaimed small production wines at Caliza Winery in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles to also starting a boutique label in Tin City offering wines that are tasty, well-priced, approachable and that can be enjoyed daily.

40 minutes here · Admission included

    3. Cozy up with your new friends and enjoy a family style meal that includes a sampling of Etto’s delicious pasta made in Tin City with high-quality organic ingredients, as well as a selection of gourmet sandwiches and a delicious salad, all made with local, seasonal ingredients. There will be vegetarian & non-vegetarian options. Still water is included, but additional beverages can be purchased during the lunch, if desired. After lunch we’ll have the chance to pop into Etto Pastificio and check-out their Italian market where you can see their traditional Italian pasta making equipment and possibly take home some goodies to enjoy later!

45 minutes here · Admission included

    4. It doesn’t get any hipper than Tin City Distillery, which brings two labels under one roof in the heart of Tin City. Wine Shine features nuanced, small-batch brandies and Tin City Distillery offers an array of traditional spirits such as vodka, gin, bourbon and rye whiskey, along with mixers, muddlers and playful canned cocktails. Focusing on innovative flavors and high-quality ingredients, we’ll finish the day sipping through a sampling of their refreshing canned cocktails, learning about the basics of distillation and chilling with new friends.

Amazing curated tour - Highly recommend it!

Kristina gave a fabulous tour of Tin City. She is a natural! We had such a wonderful morning visiting 3 x wineries/distilleries and a family-style lunch at Etto. It isn't often that you get to personally meet the winemakers in such an intimate setting - we felt very special with our curated tour. I absolutely recommend this tour to all levels of wine enthusiasts. Superb value for money, and a morning well spent.

Laurie was an awesome guide on our walking tour of Tin City. Tin City is a cute area with good wineries, distilleries and barrelhouse. Also, Nagrenti creamery is delicious!

Great introduction to the Paso Robles region

This tour provided an excellent introduction to the Paso Robles wine region for me. In addition to relaxed sampling of some interesting wines from small producers, we had a delicious lunch! Kristina provided very useful historical information and suggestions for my next two days exploring the region.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the great review! I'm so happy you had a great time on the Tin City Walking Tour with me, and I loved getting to meet you and share more about the area. I hope the rest of your trip was great as well, and that we get to see you - and maybe your sisters too! - again soon. Cheers, Kristina

Tin City Walking Tour Paso Robles: Wine, Lunch & Spirits: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paso Robles.

How much does Tin City Walking Tour Paso Robles: Wine, Lunch & Spirits cost?

    +

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paso Robles usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tin City Walking Tour Paso Robles: Wine, Lunch & Spirits take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paso Robles is not rushed.

Is Tin City Walking Tour Paso Robles: Wine, Lunch & Spirits worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paso Robles, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tin City Walking Tour Paso Robles: Wine, Lunch & Spirits?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tin City Walking Tour Paso Robles: Wine, Lunch & Spirits suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tin City Walking Tour Paso Robles: Wine, Lunch & Spirits?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paso Robles can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paso Robles and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tin City Walking Tour Paso Robles: Wine, Lunch & Spirits start and how do I get there?

    +

What are the best things to do in Paso Robles?

    +

Paso Robles, CA packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Paso Robles by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Paso Robles experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3-Winery Paso Robles Tour with Picnic Lunch & Tasting Fees, 3-Winery Paso Robles Tour with Picnic Lunch from Paso Robles, Paso Robles Wine Adventure within the Paso Robles Wine Region. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paso Robles?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Paso Robles, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paso Robles?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
