Terrible

The boat itself was clean, and there were sunbeds on the upper deck — these are the only positives. I would start my impressions and complaints about the carrier like this. Upon arrival at the branch before check-in and payment, there is complete chaos. When we asked questions in English, the answers were very brief, often unfriendly, and mostly without sufficient information. The worst feelings — frustration and anger — occurred three times. First, I asked how the transfer to the boat would work. The short answer was simply: “Wait.” We then asked whether someone would call us by name, reservation number, or boarding pass. No one answered. As an experienced traveler who is currently on a trip around the world, I don’t let myself be brushed off easily. I know that the boat goes to three different destinations. The whole process of getting passengers onto the boat felt completely amateurish. I could understand such behavior in Cambodia, Africa, or Sri Lanka — but Bali?? I’ll return to the moment when I became really angry. I went to ask a staff assistant how long it takes to walk to the harbor for the Lombok departure. The answer was “10 minutes.” Based on that, I ordered food and a drink. Two minutes later, I was pulled up from my chair and told: “Lombok now‼️” — so I had to leave without my food. We arrived at the gate and assumed we were supposed to sit and wait. No one gave us any information. So I went to ask again about Lombok. The female assistant, who clearly had to answer the same questions over and over, was visibly irritated — and honestly, I understand her frustration. We were told that departure was at 2:00 PM, so we thought we could handle another 40 minutes of waiting. Suddenly, we heard “Boarding Lombok” over the loudspeakers — just a few minutes after my last question. At that moment, I completely lost trust in this company. We went to the boat, and that’s when the biggest chaos started. No one knew anything properly. No one was properly organized or oriented. Instead of staff helping passengers focus, guiding them where to place luggage, or creating separate lines for different destinations — which would be extremely simple — there was total disorder. For cleanliness and the upper deck, you get two stars. I believe that the staff are trying to do their jobs as best as they can, but all it would take is for management to actually use their heads — and their brains.

Good

Their boats are well maintained and they run a smooth operation from getting bags and people tagged appropriately to getting bags and people on/off the boats in a timey manner. Gili Island Holiday also don't overbook their boats like many of the fast boat operators so you know when you book that you will have a seat. Gili Island Holiday may cost a little more than others but it is money well spent to ensure that you reach your destination in a safe and timely manner.

Response from the operator: Thankyou for your review.

How much does TicketBali Speedboat Transfer to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Lombok cost?

+

Prices start at $28 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does TicketBali Speedboat Transfer to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Lombok take?

+

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuta is not rushed.

Is TicketBali Speedboat Transfer to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Lombok worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule TicketBali Speedboat Transfer to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Lombok?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is TicketBali Speedboat Transfer to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Lombok suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book TicketBali Speedboat Transfer to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Lombok?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuta and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does TicketBali Speedboat Transfer to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Lombok start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kuta?

+

On Outty we rank every Kuta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include East Bali Tour: Gate of Heaven, Water Palace, Sleeping Gajah, Ubud Day Tour: Sacred Monkey Forest, Tegenungan Waterfall, Rice Terrace, Bali 5 Days and 4 Nights Private Tour - Best and Famous Site. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kuta?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kuta?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
