Great Experience with Leo‘s Tour and our Guide Lilia
It was a fantastic sight seeing. We went to Tian an men Square and the forbidden city, etc. It was perfectly managed and guided. Our guide Lilia was amazing. She explaines everything in such a detail that we understand the background and history in a perfect matter. Besides that Lilia was a wonderful companion during our trip, taking fotos, with a lot of beautiful further recommendations for Beijing and the surrounding. We will definitely book our next trip with Lilia and her Company“Leo‘s tour”.

Great experience, affordable prices
We were traveling as a family of three with an 18 month old baby from Australia. Leo was super attentive with all our bookings and has suggested many helpful tips when we were deciding our itineraries from Australia. We ended up having a private guided tour with transfers from Beijing (5 days) to Xian (3 days) and then Shanghai (3 days). Leo booked all the tickets for the attraction in advance so we skipped a massive queue, we are super thankful especially travelling with a child We were fortunate enough to have Yoshi (Liu ci) as our guide in Beijing. Yoshi showed us Tian A Men Square, Forbidden Palace , Summer palace, Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall and GuBei Water town. Yoshi was great, and was very understanding of our needs while travelling with our little boy, he were able to show us the highlight of each attraction, and he went above and beyond to help us reach the top of the Great Wall with a baby (well as far as we can go, tower 23!) . Yoshi would go out of his way to ensure we get to the attraction but also allowed us plenty of time to explore . Yoshi has a wealth of knowledge on the history and culture of China, he also continued to search answers for all the weird and wonderful questions we had for him. I cannot speak highly enough of Yoshi, he has left a great impression and has made our trip so easy going. Mr zhang the driver also went above and beyond for us, having to travel early morning at 0600 to get to all the destinations and ensure we arrived before the crowd (we were here during a Chinese public holiday). His car was luxurious, clean and comfortable. he also provided us a baby seat as well. With this exceptional service from Yoshi , Mr Zhang and Leo’s private tour, I would say the price was very reasonable and affordable.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Leo’s Private Tour! We are delighted to hear your family had a great experience in Beijing, Xi’an, and Shanghai. Your kind words about Yoshi, Mr. Zhang, and our team truly mean a lot to us. We’re especially happy that the Forbidden City, Great Wall, and other experiences were smooth and enjoyable while traveling with your little boy. Thank you again for your support, and we hope to welcome your family back to China in the future!

Highly recommend!
Lilia from Leo’s tour was so attentive and thoughtful! Our driver was also extremely friendly and drove super safe. The tour was very informative and we got to see so many of the popular Beijing attractions. Lilia was not only an awesome tour guide but photography skills were on par with an actual professional photographer! We ended up with lots of high quality family photos that we wouldn’t be able to have taken without her. I highly recommend doing this tour not just for the scenic views but gaining a deeper understanding of the history behind Beijing’s historic attractions and some bomb food recs 🤩

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tiananmen Square ,Forbidden City ,Summer Palace Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does Tiananmen Square ,Forbidden City ,Summer Palace Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tiananmen Square ,Forbidden City ,Summer Palace Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.
Is Tiananmen Square ,Forbidden City ,Summer Palace Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tiananmen Square ,Forbidden City ,Summer Palace Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tiananmen Square ,Forbidden City ,Summer Palace Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tiananmen Square ,Forbidden City ,Summer Palace Private Tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tiananmen Square ,Forbidden City ,Summer Palace Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
