Great introduction to Thessaloniki food scene!
Wonderful experience visiting the market, helping to chop ingredients and enjoying lunch in a family owned restaurant. Giorgos was a very helpful, pleasant and informative guide. Definitely recommend this experience!

Disappointing experience
This was a disappointing experience. While the chef and guide were very nice and friendly, there was no interaction with the chef as he didn’t speak any English (the tour guide acted as an interpreter) and the excursion was not as described. It was supposed to be a shopping and cooking experience, but we actually only picked out some vegetables and chopped onions. It was more of a demonstration than an experience. The meal was good even if we actually didn’t prepare it. The excursion was over in 2 hours although it was described as lasting 3-3 1/2 hours. It wasn’t a “experience “, just basically a VERY expensive lunch. Not worth the money paid.

We’re glad, however, that you found our chef and guide friendly and enjoyed the meal. The activity is designed to combine a local market visit for some shopping and olive tasting, cooking demonstration and hands-on participation, although the level of participation might of course differ compared to previous experiences you had. We’re also sorry that the experience felt shorter than expected, but the 3 1/2 hours include 1-hour of lunch time and is not completely dedicated to cooking. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will review how the activity is presented to ensure the description and expectations are as clear and accurate as possible. :)

Taste of Greece
Konstantinos was a delight to take us through the market, show us lots and explain whatever we had questions about. We then went to a restaurant after making purchases for our meal we would prepare. We had a head chef explain and show us how to make a great meal. Very enjoyable.

Really enjoyed our cooking class. Konstantina was an amazing guide. Really enjoyed walking through the market to get the food and talking. The cooking class itself was really fun and informative. Being in a restaurant with no one else there was really cool. Everyone was so nice, and the food was delicious.
