Great Walking Dead tour
Greg was an excellent guide. We saw some amazing spots all around Atlanta. Very informative. Even discussed history of Atlanta and the booming filming industry. It was well worth the money and time. Book this tour!

The tour was AMAZING! Julio was the BEST.
Julio was absolutely the best tour guide ever. My 13 year old daughter is obsessed with TWD & I was interested in the tour as well, although maybe not as much as she. This was our 1st trip to Atlanta. Julio picked us up in his personal vehicle & we were pleased to find out that we were on a private tour. He was extremely personable, had videos, etc. to remind us of the places in the show, was extremely happy to stop and get out of the car & take photos. He literally took us everywhere we could think of that TWD was filmed. What impressed me most though was his ability to listen & answer my many questions about the area & it’s history that had nothing to do with the show. He even went out of his way to drive us past several things that were of my interest & not related to the show. His life story & profession alone are a great story, not to mention his knowledge of TWD & the city of ATL. He managed to make a 13 yr old girl & her inquisitive mother extremely happy while driving them around for 3 hours! Magician!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and, we agree, Julio is fantastic! Thank you for choosing DTours!

Rick Grimes fans will love this tour.
If you are a fan, you will love this tour. Our guide, Greg, knew his stuff, and being in the film business he was a wealth of info for a cinephile like me. He made it fun by “testing your knowledge” by seeing if you could guess what the location we visited was used for. I would recommend it!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words and for choosing DTours!

Best Tour.
Julio was an amazing tour guide!! He knew a lot! Even told us a lot about Atlanta and other things that weren’t included. I thought that was very sweet of him. He also knew how to make us feel welcomed and spoke to us the whole time! The sites were incredible. It was just a great birthday experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you for a great review. We are so glad you enjoyed your time with Julio!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The Walking Dead in the City: Private Atlanta Film Location Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Atlanta.
How much does The Walking Dead in the City: Private Atlanta Film Location Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Atlanta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Walking Dead in the City: Private Atlanta Film Location Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Atlanta is not rushed.
Is The Walking Dead in the City: Private Atlanta Film Location Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Atlanta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Walking Dead in the City: Private Atlanta Film Location Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Walking Dead in the City: Private Atlanta Film Location Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Walking Dead in the City: Private Atlanta Film Location Tour?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Atlanta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Atlanta and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Walking Dead in the City: Private Atlanta Film Location Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Atlanta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Atlanta?
+
Atlanta pairs civil rights history at the King Center and Sweet Auburn with the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, BeltLine bike rides and southern food tours through Old Fourth Ward. Guide depth is what separates the history walks here. On Outty we rank every Atlanta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Atlanta's Black History and Civil Rights Tour, Fall in Love with Atlanta Bike Tour, City Lights Atlanta Night-Time Bus Tour with Photos & Dinner Stop. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Atlanta?
+
March to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Atlanta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
