    Ate our way through Athens

We booked this tour as a “vegetarian food tour” and it was actually a mixed tour that included meat. This is the reason I did not rate as 5 stars as that should have been better explained in tour descriptions. Having said that it was a great tour and our guide was very knowledgeable. We got to sample many yummy things at 8 different stops.

Great tour of Athens (for food and getting to know the city).

Great food tour. Highly recommend. The places were fun and unique - not places I would have found on my own. Our tour guide was Lef - he was terrific and really made the tour. Vegetarian options were really fulsome.

    Vegetarian Walking Food Tour

The Vegetarian food Walking Tour was absolutely 100%. Our guide,Lef was so knowledgeable about the stops around Athens and the types of food . We tried a Greek style Coffee shop, pastry’s, Cheese and Yoghurt and finished it with a Greek Meze. Highly recommend and like I say, Lef was a great guide

Awesome food, awesome guide, great for vegetarians!

I had an awesome time on this tour, was a little worried being a solo vegetarian but our host was awesome and always helped me out. The places we visited and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this tour! Thank you!

Vegetarians - pack some and eat out other times

Being vegetarians, we decided to pack some food from home for the night we landed in Athens and next day morning breakfast. After finishing Acropolis and Agora we decided to explore Athens streets and find any vegetarian brunch option close-by. We stumbled upon "Eatery Bairaktaris in Aiolou 29". Great Mediterranean food, loved their hot mint tea, fresh orange juice, tasty falafels, super soft pita breads, a bit greasy zucchini fries in a cozy street with amazing vibe all around. Same afternoon, we wanted to pick up Baklavas to bring back home and found "Konstandinidis". Their fresh baked bread loafs and so many varieties of Baklavas were out of the world.

The Vegetarian food tasting tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does The Vegetarian food tasting tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $92 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Vegetarian food tasting tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is The Vegetarian food tasting tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Vegetarian food tasting tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Vegetarian food tasting tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Vegetarian food tasting tour?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Vegetarian food tasting tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
