About this experience
Come and discover the secrets of Venice with a different tour that will make you feel like a true Venetian citizen and help you to catch the best of the city during your stay. In addition to the most famous places in Venice (such as St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge) I will guide you through the most hidden and non-touristy parts of the city, where we can analyze its history and construction. I will focus on architecture and its culture with entertaining anecdotes and legendary discoveries. We will take a walk through alleys, bridges and fields observing a part of the city that you probably would not see without getting lost. During the excursion I will share my experiences and curiosities to make you feel at home. *FOR PRIVATE TOURS CONTACT ME*

Could not recommend Nico...
Could not recommend Nico & this tour more. Definitely book this tour if you are interested in Venice outside of the high tourist areas, and definitely if you if you want to understand the architecture and how Venice today came to be. His deep knowledge of the history of Venice as well as his ability to guide us based on what we found interesting was fantastic. He was enthusiastic, you can tell he truly loves and respects the city. Thanks Nico!

Intimate Tour and History of Venice
Nico provided a great walking tour and history of Venice. Not just telling you about the history, but showing you places all around the city. Because it's a smaller tour you move quickly and see a lot. Nico is a native of Venice and knows it well. I really enjoyed learning about his city. It's a great way to immerse yourself in Venice.

Fantastic Walking Tour of Venice!!
My husband and I were traveling to Italy with our 13 yo and 10 yo daughters. This tour was the absolute best way to start our time in Venice. Nico is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible. He was easy to communicate with and met us promptly at our hotel. He was happy to adjust the itinerary according to our interests. The city can be a little confusing to navigate even with Google Maps. Our 2 hour tour helped us get our bearings and see the highlights of the city while avoiding tourist traps. As a native Venetian, he knows the city inside and out. Nico’s information about the city’s history made everything come to life. We would’ve missed a lot of cool and interesting things had it not been for the tour & our kids loved it too! Would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to make the most of Venice!

Wonderful, fun tour with Nico, 5 stars!
My daughter, niece and I started our trip to Venice with a tour with Nico and it was amazing! He was so much fun and so knowledgeable. My niece was there to attend a pre-med program and he was so helpful to take us by where she would be staying on the second part of her trip and tell us all about the history of the hospital and make lots of recommendations for great places to eat nearby. My daughter had a broken foot and Nico was wonderful to take us to all the best places and show us some easy routes to get around while she was on her walker/rollator. We hope to visit again and will definitely do another tour with Nico!

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The Secrets of Venice - Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.
How much does The Secrets of Venice - Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $71 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Secrets of Venice - Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.
Is The Secrets of Venice - Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 62 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Secrets of Venice - Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Secrets of Venice - Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Secrets of Venice - Private Tour?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Secrets of Venice - Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Venice?
+
On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Venice?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Venice?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
