I fell in love with Edinburgh, Scotland, I'm coming back for sure.
We had a wonderful tour guide named Allan Fee; he has a great personality was full of tales and history about his beloved Edinburgh. We had a packed day in Edinburgh City that resulted in me falling in love with not only the city but Scotland itself. It's people, it's architecture; history, etc. We visited St. Giles Church a beautiful place with such rich history. The Royal Military Tattoo was an exciting event to attend; a friendly competition between various military marching bands from all over the world. Rosslyn Chapel is a historic church with a great back story; beautiful grounds, beautiful treat in the day. Dinner at the Ghillie Dhu Bar Restaurant was delicious in a great atmosphere. We adored spending time on the Royal Mile there was a festival going on so music and performances in the street. A various amount of different souvenir shops you will find anything Scotland on the mile. Our guide surprised us and took us on top of Calton Hill for the spectacular city views and the various moments there. I highly recommend this tour with this exact tour guide, you won't be disappointed.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your 5* review, it is very much appreciated. I'm delighted that you had a great experience, and it was a pleasure to spend some time with you. Very best regards, Alan

A Wonderful Day in Edinburgh
So happy with our decision to book "The Royal Military Tattoo Edinburgh City Tour Rosslyn Chapel and Dinner". Thank you so much, Alan and Ecosse Executive, for an amazing day! Only in Edinburgh for the day (on a cruise), so we wanted to make the most of our time—and this tour checked all the boxes and more! This private tour allowed us to see both Old and New Edinburgh, visit Rosslyn Chapel, and included dinner plus tickets to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Alan knew exactly how to navigate the bustling streets (very busy with summer tourism, Fringe Festival plus Tattoo), getting us as close as possible to the best spots, so we could spend less time fighting through the crowds. He was extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humour, and gave us fascinating insight and history about everywhere we visited. We also loved the balance of informative “tour talk” and free time to explore on our own, along with Alan’s recommendations for some great photo spots. We also appreciated how they accommodated the adjustments needed to ensure we were back to the tender boat on time, since no one wants to miss the boat! We highly recommend Alan and Ecosse Executive and would definitely book with them again.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely 5* review, and I'm delighted that you had such a great experience. It was my absolute pleasure to spend that day with you. Very best regards, Alan

Disappointing this year.
Have been to a few shows but felt very disappointed by this 2026 performance. The best we have seen is 2024 so please can we have a replica of the ‘Journeys’ production. This was by far a spectacular showing and I am so pleased I have the DVD.
Response from the operator: Hi Kate, thank you for getting in touch. I must however point out that your disappointing 2* review is based on the Tattoo performance, which is something that is totally 100% not down to my company! Perhaps it would have been much nicer, and fairer, to comment on the actual whole days experience as this is something that we can control?

spectacular and unforgettable experience
Alan provided a wonderful combination of professionalism, extensive knowledge of the area and its history, and stimulating conversation He truly enhanced our experience in Scotland. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo was the perfect way to end our stay in Scotland. It was a spectacular and unforgettable experience - one that will be remembered for a lifetime.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your 5* review, and thank you for your comments. I'm delighted that you had such a great experience, and further delighted that I got to spend some time with you. Very best & warmest regards, Alan

Great tour and the Tattoo, too!
What a great day! Alan picked us up at our hotel and whisked us off to a day filled with new friends, historic sites, great food, and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo! He planned it all and got us our tickets for the Tattoo. He is so knowledgeable about the history of the area, and we learned a lot. And he seemed to know everyone personally wherever we went! After dinner at a historic pub, we were brought as close to the venue as he could get us, gave us directions on where to find our seats, and was waiting to take us to our hotel right after. This was a wonderful tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your great review, I'm truly delighted that you had such a good experience. It was a pleasure to spend time with you, and perhaps one day we will get another chance? Very best regards, Alan
