An Excellent Introduction to Belfast
Having arrived in Belfast on Saturday afternoon after a 30+ hour journey from Australia, we were seeking a top-quality introduction to Belfast and its history together with the right level of entertainment. We struck it lucky with Marti. The history of Belfast is complex and Marti was terrific in taking us through the significant milestones in Belfast history before we set off walking around the city. We would have NEVER (ever) noticed or seen the endless landmarks or points of history which he explained to us, linking the stories together. Marti is a passionate lover of history, Ireland and of course Belfast and I con confidently confirm that he single-handedly helped us piece together a framework of knowledge which was both so interesting and informative. Marti’s Tours are most definitely unique🙏
Response from the operator: Thank you for your glowing 5🌟 review. I do my best to help my guests understand Belfast and as you say its complexity better. And then set off to show you not only the sights and sounds bit also the wee hidden gems you wouldn't notice bor do the locals know off. I thank you for choosing me as your guide after such a long flight. And hope your enjoying your further travels on this side of the World 🌎 and maybe catch you next time your over so we can continue further along themARTiway 😀

History lesson with views
Our tour guide, Marty, was extremely knowledgeable all things Belfast. He gave us a history lesson at the beginning to lay the groundwork for the remainder of the tour. We walked all over Belfast and he knew facts about so many of the establishments, the buildings, the best food fare, drinks. Oh and people recognized him and the friendly greetings between them was sweet. I very much recommend this tour and I planning to do his other tours upon returning to Belfast. Oh we did go have a Belfast coffee upon his recc and it did not disappoint 🍀🍀🍀
Response from the operator: Hi thanks for taking the time to leave me your review. And am happy to hear you tried a Belfast Coffee 😊 And yes the local people are very friendly and can't but not engage with them as we passby. And I thank you for recommending me. And look forward to welcoming you again on one of my other experiences.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Belfast.
How much does the Original Eclectic Belfast Walking tour with a local Gardener. cost?
+
Prices start at $11 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Belfast usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does the Original Eclectic Belfast Walking tour with a local Gardener. take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Belfast is not rushed.
Is the Original Eclectic Belfast Walking tour with a local Gardener. worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 157 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Belfast, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule the Original Eclectic Belfast Walking tour with a local Gardener.?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is the Original Eclectic Belfast Walking tour with a local Gardener. suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book the Original Eclectic Belfast Walking tour with a local Gardener.?
+
Around 55 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Belfast can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Belfast and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

What are the best things to do in Belfast?
+
On Outty we rank every Belfast experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include A History of Terror - Belfast City Centre Walking Tour, Belfast Troubles Tour: Walls and Bridges, Giants Causeway and Castles from Belfast: Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Belfast?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Belfast?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
