    Great show!

Great show. Love the small venue, I’ve been to much larger magic shows and this was so much better. Very amazing tricks. Really. How did he do that? The little extras before were great too. Suggest to arrive 30 minutes before the show to look around… Highly recommended.

    Intimate theatre and funny !

Great fun for family but tricks are not new. Funny skits though. Just a different small intimate theatre so that’s a plus. They also chose people from audience to participate which is cool. There are a few tricks which are good. There is a pre show. It starts at 2 so be there early. The listing does not tell you that , I had to chat with the Tour operator. Also when waiting to check in, they take one or two groups at a time bc they have to let you up the elevator and give you a card which determines your seating chart. You’ll see later how that works. so it takes a while to get in , so line up early. Show says at 2 30 but it was really 3 pm. Strange. There is a pre show which includes close up magic , a bartender that does drinks w lighted ice cubes and smoke bubbles. A room where you go and do a scavenger hunt and some exhibits along the way. You can get prizes once you give the staff there your completed scavenger hunt card. The prizes i got were scratch off cards for stuff. I got 2 free drinks ! That’s awesome bc the drinks start at 6 dollars. I b used it at the bar when I left. OH and popcorn is unlimited free ! 45 per person is a bit much for tricks you get but it is ok for some that want the intimate theater and pre show.

Magic Saloon in San Antonio is Wonderful

From the beginning our visit amazing. The staff was excellent, very attentive, and ready to answer any question. The admission fee was certainly not excessive, we with the VIP tickets. We were expecting a sit around a table shown and this is far from it. We went to the bar for a drink ahead of time and out bartender Oscar L put on a show. Very amusing, put a lot of effort into mixing my drink, I would recommend the Royal Flush to anyone attending, very artistic presentation of the drink, and I even brought the "magic ice cube" home. While waiting for the show to start, we spent some time in Billy's Magic parlor and watched Oscar M. do some slight of hand tricks up close and personnel. I am still trying to figure out how he got the silver dollar into the holder for my hotel key in my shirt pocket and I did not feel thing. This a small venue but it provides what many other magic shows do not, the ability to feel you are part of the show, and audience participation is encouraged. John Shryock was the headline performer and he delivered an exceptional show. I cannot not say what trick wowed me the most, they were all that good, even the simple ones. Show length was spot on, long enough to feel value for your money and short enough were it did not become repetitive or were you would start losing interest. I highly recommend visiting, it is a very welcome counter point to all of the other offerings in San Antonio.

The Magic Saloon Immersive Experience and Show Ticket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Antonio.

How much does The Magic Saloon Immersive Experience and Show Ticket cost?

    +

Prices start at $51 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Antonio usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Magic Saloon Immersive Experience and Show Ticket take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Antonio is not rushed.

Is The Magic Saloon Immersive Experience and Show Ticket worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 181 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Antonio, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Magic Saloon Immersive Experience and Show Ticket?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Magic Saloon Immersive Experience and Show Ticket suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Magic Saloon Immersive Experience and Show Ticket?

    +

Around 63 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Antonio can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Antonio and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Magic Saloon Immersive Experience and Show Ticket start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Antonio within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in San Antonio?

    +

San Antonio runs River Walk cruises and dinner tours, Alamo and mission trail history walks, ghost tours through the old quarter, and Hill Country wine and cave trips. Mission tours vary in whether they cover all five UNESCO sites. On Outty we rank every San Antonio experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game San Antonio: Epic 60-Minute Adventures at The Rim, Walking Tour Along the San Antonio Riverwalk And Around Downtown, Small-Group World Heritage San Antonio Missions Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit San Antonio?

    +

March to May and October to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in San Antonio?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
