About this experience
THIS IS A GRAND TOUR not a standard tour Let's go for a walk thorugh the main highlights together and I'd be more than happy to show you some local hidden spots as well. Meeting point is at the biggest square of Italy: Piazza del Plebiscito where is placed the Royal Palace of Naples and also the oldest bar of the city (Gran Cafè Gambrinus); we'll walk together through via Toledo, from one point to the opposite end of the city, reaching the UNESCO Historical Center of Naples (greek/roman side).During the walk we can explore the Spanish Quarter, the local market of Pignasecca. It's not a marathon, so on the way we can stop also to taste local food and, of course, a neapolitan "Caffè"! The tour continues at Piazza del Gesù with the greatest baroque church in town, piazza Bellini where we can see the ancient greek walls of "Neapolis", via dei Tribunali with the oldest tower of Pietrasanta, San Gregorio Armeno (artisans), Spaccanapoli and the Duomo of S. Gennaro and his Blood!

Greatest Walking Tour of Napoli!
Riccardo was our guide for this tour. Being a local Neopolitan as well as an actual archeologist, he was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area. It definitely helped us as Napoli newcomers to orient ourselves and learn more about a city with such a wonderfully complex and multifaceted history. We were also introduced to gems that we would have otherwise missed had we been exploring on our own. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Napoli!
Response from the operator: Thanks, much appreciated

This was an excellent tour. Raphael is probably one of the most knowledgeable and personable tour guides I've ever had. He was able to answer every question we had with confidence and told wonderful stories to help us relate to the experience. I appreciated the fact he went at a comfortable pace as well. I highly recommend him!.

Raffaele – The Legend of Pompeii!
After an amazing tour with Raffaele in Naples, we had to book another one with him for Pompeii—and wow, what a decision that was! Raffaele took an already incredible site and somehow made it even more fascinating with his energy, knowledge, and storytelling skills. He’s an absolute legend. His passion for history is infectious, and the way he brought the ruins of Pompeii to life was nothing short of masterful. Raffaele didn’t just show us the highlights—he gave us a deep, immersive experience that made us feel like we were walking through the ancient city as it once was. Every detail he shared, from daily life in ancient Rome to the events of the eruption, was told with clarity, humor, and a genuine love for what he does. He answered all our questions with ease and kept the entire group engaged from start to finish. If you’re heading to Pompeii and want to truly understand and appreciate what you’re seeing, Raffaele is the guide you need. Professional, passionate, and absolutely unforgettable. Can’t recommend him enough!
Response from the operator: Wow thank you so much for this beautiful review and for these beautiful words, I'm very happy that you enjoyed the tour, hope to see you next time!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The Greatest Walking Tour of Naples: 4h with an Expert Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does The Greatest Walking Tour of Naples: 4h with an Expert Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Greatest Walking Tour of Naples: 4h with an Expert Guide take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is The Greatest Walking Tour of Naples: 4h with an Expert Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Greatest Walking Tour of Naples: 4h with an Expert Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Greatest Walking Tour of Naples: 4h with an Expert Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Greatest Walking Tour of Naples: 4h with an Expert Guide?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Greatest Walking Tour of Naples: 4h with an Expert Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
