Beautiful scenery and lovely wine
Our private tour with guide Massimo was amazing. He was so informative and attentive to our expectations. He took us to 2 wineries. La Sala was our favorite. Our guide Raphael (I think) was the best. He was very passionate about his work and shared the winery’s story. The wine was the best we had during our visit in Tuscany.

PERFECT Tuscan Day from Pisa!
This was a WONDERFUL day! We visited 2 beautiful countryside wineries that were both above and beyond what we could have expected! The light appetizers and wine at the first location was a perfect start with a historic tour from one of the owners. Next stop was a larger winery that really impressed us with the meal, colorful host and generous wine pours! Really can't say enough good things - especially since there was a mix up with the dates - feb vs march, that I realized the day before our tour. They made it all work and we were soooo grateful!

Marina Di Carrara Private Wine Tour
The highlight of our Virgin Voyages stop in Marina di Carrara was our unforgettable wine tasting tour with Massimo. Massimo was warm, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable—not just about wine, but about the region's history and culture. He took us to two beautiful vineyards in the Tuscan hills, where we sampled a delicious selection of local wines paired with an Italian "light lunch". Every sip came with a story, and every view was picture-perfect. It was more than just a tasting—it was a full Italian experience that felt personal and authentic. Highly recommend this tour for anyone stopping in the area. Thank you, Massimo, for sharing your love of wine and Tuscany with us! #WineTastingWithMassimo #VirginVoyages #MarinaDiCarrara #TuscanyVibes

It's Better to Go Private!
Massimo was the guide for our newlywed son and his wife back in November 2021. They loved him for his passion for his country and for wine and for his knowledge of the area so we requested him for our tour. Our private tour was amazing. Massimo picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. We highly recommend going private because you can customize and spend as much time as you want at a place. Tuscany is dreamlike. Along the way at our request he stopped at the Florence American Cemetary and Memorial. Very emotional. Then off to San Gimignano - a town like no other. The best gelato in Italy is there - the Gelateria Dondoli. Then on to our first winery - Tenuto Torciano - and our "light lunch" which actually was a platter of meats, cheeses and bread; then ribolitto, or Tuscan bread soup; then a hunk of lasagna. We needed a nap after all that. Then was the tastings. Let's just say their sample pours are "robust" lol. Then on to our second winery - Fattoria DiPancole - which we were delighted to learn is also a B&B at only 130 euro a night even in season. This place is at the top of a hill and they even have an in-ground pool overlooking the countryside. Gorgeous. More healthy pours, more food, more laughing - even their dog greeted us - adorable! We bought wine to ship home and it arrived in no time. Massimo was proud of his Italy, was very knowledgeable about wine and he follows American basketball! What a guy. What a day! Our deepest thanks to Massimo and to Bella Italia Tours for a truly memorable experience.

Wine lovers adventure
This private tour was incredible. Private van and a beautiful drive to the Chianti Classico region and then a visit to 2 smaller boutique wineries. This is the way to visit if you love wine and walking vineyards. One had a light lunch, Italian style abundant lunch was more like it! Our driver and sommelier Massimo was outstanding. VERY knowledgeable about wine and American sports!!!! I’m so happy we had him as our guide! Overall a perfect day!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pisa.
How much does The Grand Wine Tour – 2 wineries with Chianti & SuperTuscan cost?

How long does The Grand Wine Tour – 2 wineries with Chianti & SuperTuscan take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pisa is not rushed.
Is The Grand Wine Tour – 2 wineries with Chianti & SuperTuscan worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pisa, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Grand Wine Tour – 2 wineries with Chianti & SuperTuscan?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Grand Wine Tour – 2 wineries with Chianti & SuperTuscan suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Grand Wine Tour – 2 wineries with Chianti & SuperTuscan?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pisa can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pisa and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Grand Wine Tour – 2 wineries with Chianti & SuperTuscan start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pisa within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Pisa?
+
On Outty we rank every Pisa experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pisa’s Ultimate Food Tour: Full Tuscan Meal by Do Eat Better, Pisa: Beyond the Tower (1h round-trip tour), Pisa: Self-Guided Bike Tour to the Sea. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Pisa?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Pisa?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
