Good wine in Vancouver

Wine was fabulous. Itinerary was not as advertised….. guide said Viator keeps changing back after he corrects it. The charcuterie was in a plastic bag that he assembled. No meat. He had to stop with us at a market to get fruit before we left. Cheese, crackers, nuts, cracker sticks, fruit and a bubble water. There were just the 2 of us on the tour with the guide. He picked good wineries and was on time. Enjoyed the winery experiences. All in all a pretty good day. Just a bit unorthodox compared to all our other Viator experiences.

Amazing experience!

After another tour operator cancelled our wine tour last minute, I booked this one. What a blessing!! Michael called me to let me know he would pick us up in his Mercedes Sprinter (he picks up at any downtown Vancouver hotel btw) and we were his only guests so we would have the VIP experience. And that it was! We visited three very unique wineries with incredible wines. We purchased bottles at each location and I even signed up for a delivery service from one. Michael was super kind and so knowledgeable about the area we travelled. He truly made the experience so memorable for my daughter and I. He even stopped in Langley on the way back and let us wander around the cute little town for half an hour. If you are weighing your options, this is the tour to select. You will not be disappointed.

Fraser Valley wine tour

Michael our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable of the whole area. He also had a nice little lunch prepared for us. I would recommend this wine tour.

Response from the operator: My motto is you can't have a good time without good food so the wine tour come with your own personal snack bag of three cheeses, crackers, mineral water, mixed nuts, chocolates cake, fruit and a natural sparkling water, best regards michael lawrence

A great, interesting, enjoyable and informative trip.I can recommend.

The experience was excellent, enjoyable and very informative. We were picked up dead on time,at our hotel. This pick up was gratifying, not having to worry about finding your way about in a strange city. The drive out to the wineries was an interesting and informative experience .as we learned about the sites we passed and the history of Vancouver. The three wineries were all beautiful and individual and you could read about the wines from a menu and choose your selections. You were then told about the history and flavour points of the wines you had chosen. Many of them award winning! You do not get a full glass mind you, as it is a tasting., not a pub crawl. It is enough though. You can choose sparkling options too. You pay for your selections at the end. These came to approx 20 Canadian dollars, depending of course on your choices. The prices are clear. The last visit to the mead winery was my personal favourite, where the wines were mead wines. We had a delicious selection of cheeses, biscuits , crackers, nuts and cake. Supplied by our courier.Oneof the meads was paired with a beautiful chocolate cheese and another with chocolate. I wanted to buy a bottle of the pumpkin mead wine and the fig. However, we were travelling on to Japan and my case was heavy enough. Also, the cruise lines charge 30 dollars corkage on wine brought aboard!! The vehicle was comfy and afforded a good view. The courier was very knowledgeable and interesting. A very pleasant person with a great sense of humour and a fascinating eclectic background . A man not afraid of hard work, or grasping what life holds.. A real artisan . A nice man.Safety was a priority, with a strong wooden step to alight the bus. One he had made himself The day was one I will always remember with affection.. Well done Morwen

Response from the operator: Thank you Morwen for the nice indepth experience review, I want only the best for my guests, if you visit us again I offer the Grand City Tour, best regards michael lawrence

Fun but only saw 3/5 vineyards

Michael was a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, and the bus was very comfortable to ride in. Would have given the tour 5 stars, but we only visited 3 out of the 5 wineries on the itinerary due to midweek closures.

Response from the operator: It is presently harvest time so we did the standard 3 best wineries and the other two optional vineyards were not available due to the grape being early and ready for harvest, regards Lawrence

The Fraser Valley Winery Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vancouver.

How much does The Fraser Valley Winery Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vancouver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Fraser Valley Winery Tour take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vancouver is not rushed.

Is The Fraser Valley Winery Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 95 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vancouver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Fraser Valley Winery Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Fraser Valley Winery Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 19. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book The Fraser Valley Winery Tour?

+

Around 33 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vancouver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vancouver and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Fraser Valley Winery Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vancouver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vancouver?

+

On Outty we rank every Vancouver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Vancouver City Sightseeing Tour: Capilano Suspension Bridge & Vancouver Lookout, Epic Electric Bike Tour of Vancouver, Whistler, Sea to Sky Gondola, & Shannon Falls Tour from Vancouver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vancouver?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vancouver?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
