Outstanding Constantia Wine Tour
Meighan provided an Outstanding wine tour of Constantia. She was pleasant & very knowledgeable. We visited vineyards at Steenberg & Klein Constantia. The meal at Klein Constantia was excellent! This is a must tour for wine tastings in Constantia!!

Excellent Customer Service
Unfortunately, I was unable to take the half-day tour, but I had a very positive experience with the outfit. Meighan was always quick and thorough in her communications, and she even went out of her way to organize a noon trip as I do not have the fortitude for morning wine drinking (especially after flying for 24 hours). She was very gracious when I canceled, and made a point of following up (unprompted) on the status of my refund.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, even though you were unable to join the half-day tour. We truly appreciate your kind words and feedback.

Meighan made our experience!
We originally booked a group half day so we were naturally and pleasantly surprised when we had the wonderful Meighan to ourselves for the morning and afternoon. The vineyards chosen for the wine tour were perfect and under the backdrop of the great knowledge and conversation from Meighan, we couldn’t wish for anything better. I’ve personally done wine tours in Cape Town before and this was hands down the best experience. Would recommend and when I’m back in the country, I will book again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Excellent Host and enjoyable half day in Cape Town
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our morning on this tour. Our guide was really fun and interesting and was a delight to do this activity with. We visited two vineyards. The weather was lovely and the wine even better. Lunch was also very nice. In all I cannot fault this tour. Definitely worth it.
Response from the operator: Hallo mensarb, Thank you so much for this awesome review, it is especially helpful during the more chilled out, mellow season. Hope you're having a solid week and looking forward to your weekend :) Cheers, Blake G

beautiful views and wines
This wine tour was a perfect way to fill our morning/early afternoon in Cape Town. Great for those who want to sip, sit and relax on poolside patios or at restaurants with gorgeous views of the mountains and valleys of the Constantia region. Not to mention the wine is fabulous. Blake is a great guide, being a Constantia native and having in-depth knowledge on wine grape harvesting. Would highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Hi Stefani, Thanks so much for this wonderful review. Really is much appreciated and so happy you enjoyed the tour. All the best for 2019!! ;) Cheers, Blake

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The Constantia Classic - Private Half Day: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does The Constantia Classic - Private Half Day cost?
+
Prices start at R 3,400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Constantia Classic - Private Half Day take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is The Constantia Classic - Private Half Day worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Constantia Classic - Private Half Day?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Constantia Classic - Private Half Day suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Constantia Classic - Private Half Day?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Constantia Classic - Private Half Day start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Hike Table Mountain or Lions Head in Cape Town Like a Local, Cape Point and Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
