    Family cooking

We had a great time learning the basics of Indian cooking. Our 14yr old enjoyed getting stuck in with the prep and cooking. Excellent Experience

A Must-Do Cooking Experience in Delhi

This cooking class was one of the highlights of my trip to India. Neha is extremely knowledgeable and a gracious host. She was able to ensure I made the foods I was most interested in. I learned how to make butter chicken, Chana masala, Teera Aaloo, and garlic naan. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who finds themselves in Delhi with a few hours of time, and a love for food and cooking.

    Amazing class and food:)))

Amazing experience. Neha is a very good guide, she is kind and calm. We made aloo gobi, palak paneer, butter chicken and naan. The butter chicken is the best I ever had. She also gave us a cooking book for later. The place is so nice, the food is amazing and Neha is super good. We were 7 friends doing it together and it was super fun. Thank you so much for this authentic experience.

    Educational, enjoyable and delicious!

Wonderful experience. Very kind and professional as well as welcoming. Started in the home with a welcome and explanation as well as water and freshening up if needed. Then went to the separate cooking kitchen where we had our lesson. It was very organized and all ingredients set out and prepared for us. Cute take home aprons were provided. The experience it was very educational as well as fun. And of course delicious! We then moved into the dining room where we enjoyed the meal that we had made. Beaufort Beautiful home and environment. The teacher, her family and helpers were all warm and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised too be provided with a cookbook at the end. Highly recommend!

The Chef @ 5 pm (3 Main Dishes + 2 Breads): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does The Chef @ 5 pm (3 Main Dishes + 2 Breads) cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Chef @ 5 pm (3 Main Dishes + 2 Breads) take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is The Chef @ 5 pm (3 Main Dishes + 2 Breads) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 63 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Chef @ 5 pm (3 Main Dishes + 2 Breads)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Chef @ 5 pm (3 Main Dishes + 2 Breads) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Chef @ 5 pm (3 Main Dishes + 2 Breads)?

    +

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Chef @ 5 pm (3 Main Dishes + 2 Breads) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

    +

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
