Girls loved gift shop more than statues
I went with my two daughters and they loved the gift shop more than the museum. But they did like the Ramses statue. Our guide Youssef was patient and let them shop at the end. He showed them the miniature statues on the Grand Staircase. The pyramids view made them excited for our upcoming pyramid visit. The transfer was a family van with cartoon stickers. The tickets were family friendly and we got a discount. The experience was balanced between culture and shopping. Admission fee was 55 usd per adult and 25 usd per child. Length of visit was 4 hours including shopping. Atmosphere was cheerful and commercial. Crowd size was about 30. Staff were tolerant of shopaholics. Best for families with shopping lovers. Yasser gave my daughters a free keychain.

My sons hunted for the smallest statue
I took my two sons to the museum and they were bored at first. But then our guide Youssef challenged them to find the smallest statue in the museum. They ran around looking and found a tiny scarab amulet. He gave them a small prize. The Ramses II statue was their favorite because it looked like a giant robot. We climbed the Grand Staircase and they counted each step out loud. The view of the pyramids from the top made them stop and stare. The transfer was a minivan with seatbelts and the driver was patient. The tickets were included so we avoided the long queue. The museum has a nice snack bar but we didn't have time. The experience was active and child friendly. Admission fee was 60 usd per adult and 30 usd per child. Length of visit was 4 hours exactly. Atmosphere was energetic and playful. Found the ugliest statue in the museum

stray cat lives in the museum
We went as a couple and we noticed a cat inside the museum. It was a stray that somehow got in. Our guide Nour told us it lives there and the staff feed it.
