The oculus in the center of the coffered dome above provides light and ventilation, and when it rains the water drains below the floor through a drainage system. We had a most memorable time in Rome with Michele. From pick up to drop off, he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating. He navigated the streets of Rome expertly! We managed to squeeze in so much and didn't feel rushed at all. Highly recommendd for a day tour of Rome.
