Amazing experience off the beaten track in Jamaica
This was the second time that we used Marvyn’s Paradise Tours as we had such a good experience the first time. The man himself came to pick us up from our hotel and gave us a clear brief for the day which was very helpful. Marvyn was very open and friendly and you could immediately tell that he genuinely enjoys his job. The first stop was Somerset Falls, but before we got there Marvyn stopped off to get us some food from Juici Patties as he highly recommended it. Somerset Falls is a beautiful hidden gem in Jamaica and is worth the drive. The bamboo rafting was a humbling experience and it was nice to speak with Trevor to get his perspective on life in Jamaica. We then went to lunch in Boston Bay and had some jerk chicken, but unfortunately couldn’t continue the tour to Blue Lagoon and Frenchman’s Cove because of the rain. Even though we did not finish the tour, we still had a great time and we learnt so much about the Jamaican culture from Marvyn - he has bags of energy and there was never a dull moment with him.
Response from the operator: Good day boss man! My VIP!!! It was a pleasure getting to know you , I’m glad you had such an amazing and humbling experience! Also glad you learned a lot about Jamaican culture both first hand and from our fellow Jamaican tour guides! I’m sorry you never got to finish your tour but that it was memorable nevertheless. We hope to see you again soon .Thanks for making it Marvyn’s Paradise Tours! Nothing but the best when you are with us, thanks for sharing your feedback Marvyn

Unforgettable Experience
Our first experience with Marvyn’s Paradise Tours was with Dalton who was excellent so we wanted to book another tour with the company. This time we had the official Marvyn driving us for the day! Marvyn is friendly, kind and very knowledgeable about Jamaica. We had a great time in his company and we didn’t stop chatting throughout both journeys. Somerset Falls was a hidden gem, so beautiful and Marvyn captured the moment by taking lots of pictures of us. The Bamboo rafting was special, I was would recommend doing the rafting here rather than at the White River as it is a lot quieter. Big shout out to Trevor who was our captain. We then went to Boston Jerk as the weather was bad and we were a bit peckish. Boston is the home of jerk so was great to eat food here. We decided against going to Blue Lagoon & Fisherman’s Cove as the rain was heavy but regardless of this, we had already enjoyed our day so much. Marvyn made this a pleasureable experience and we will never forget him. I learnt more about Jamaica speaking with him than any other tour we visited!
Response from the operator: 902isabellat It is indeed with great pleasure that we say a big thanks to you for choosing our service above all the other tour operators . We are delighted to know that you had a great time at each activity you took part in and that Marvyn has made it a pleasurable experience for you and your partner. We are hoping to see you both again soon. One Love from Jamaica 🇯🇲!!! Kind regards Sana

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The Best of Port Antonio Day-Trip from Ocho Rios: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ocho Rios.
How much does The Best of Port Antonio Day-Trip from Ocho Rios cost?
+
Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ocho Rios usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Best of Port Antonio Day-Trip from Ocho Rios take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ocho Rios is not rushed.
Is The Best of Port Antonio Day-Trip from Ocho Rios worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ocho Rios, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Best of Port Antonio Day-Trip from Ocho Rios?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Best of Port Antonio Day-Trip from Ocho Rios suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Best of Port Antonio Day-Trip from Ocho Rios?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ocho Rios can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ocho Rios and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Best of Port Antonio Day-Trip from Ocho Rios start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ocho Rios within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ocho Rios?
+
On Outty we rank every Ocho Rios experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Blue Hole only-from Ocho Rios, Ocho Rios Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Tour, Blue Hole and Dunn’s River Falls Tour with Lunch and Cocktails at Reggae Hill. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ocho Rios?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ocho Rios?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
