Was ok with hiccups.

After 6 days of tours with this agency I can say that the last day in the mountains was the best. The highlights of the trip are the mountains on the last day in Quba, the petroglyphs at Qobustan and the palace in Sheki. The mud volcanoes are ok too. Besides that the rest was a bit bland and mediocre. We did a lot of driving to far places only to briefly see some things. The waterfalls are very small and not very interesting. Couldn't understand all the people there. The guide I had, Ell was ok. He gave a good effort but he is REALLY sensitive. I felt I always had to be super upbeat to make sure he was ok. I felt some places on the tour weren't really for us but we didn't want to be disrespectful to Ell so we did them anyways. I felt some of their ideologies were being pushed down our throats. Felt it wasn't very factual at times. The driver we had was FANTASTIC, but drives a bit fast and rough, but he was very professional and skillful. I would recommend Natzir to be my driver again as he was great. We had a very stressful moment as the communication with Fuad caused an issue. The package says hotel not included and we booked our relatively expensive hotel in Baku for each night. Fuad never mentioned, nor was it mentioned in the booking, that we needed a separate night in Sheki during the tour. Luckily Fuad tried his best and was kind. He ended up getting us a room in Sheki after realising his mistake. Forgive and forget. But I think he should clarify the hotels better to avoid this in the future. Overall, the trip was fine. I found some days were rather short but others longer. The short days are over very quickly like around lunch so keep that in mind. It was nice that Fuad checked in on us each day to see how things were going.

Private 2 Day Highlights Tour Baku & Gobustan

This was our first time visiting Azerbaijan, and we chose Guided Azerbaijan. We only had a weekend, so it was a quick trip, but Guided Azerbaijan made our two Baku city and Gobustan tours possible in a short time, covering many highlights as possible. The booking process was seamless with Fuad. Our guide El and driver, Kamal, were exceptional. El was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country, and we learned much. He recommended a few excellent restaurants and gave us good local tips: a superb tour and one we highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Thanks for sharing your review and choosing Azerbaijan Tour experience with us! We will wait you again in our country. Dont forget to recommend us to your friends :) Regards, Narmin

The Best Highlights of Azerbaijan: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Baku.

How much does The Best Highlights of Azerbaijan cost?

+

Prices start at $215 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Baku usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Best Highlights of Azerbaijan take?

+

Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Baku is not rushed.

Is The Best Highlights of Azerbaijan worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Baku, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Best Highlights of Azerbaijan?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Best Highlights of Azerbaijan suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Best Highlights of Azerbaijan?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Baku can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Baku and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Best Highlights of Azerbaijan start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Baku within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Baku?

+

On Outty we rank every Baku experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gobustan and Absheron tour, Shamakhi And Gabala Tour, BEST Gobustan, Volcanoes & Absheron Fire Tour (Group or Private). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Baku?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Baku?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
