    About this experience

Termessos (or Thermessos) was a Pisidian city built at an altitude of more than 1000 meters at the South West side of the mounatin Solymos (modern day Gulluk Dagi) in the Taurus mountain range. It lies 30km to the North West of Antalya. It was founded on a natural platform on top og Gulluk Dagi soaring to a height of 1,665 meters from among the surrounding travertine mountains of Antalya which average only 200 meters above sea level. Termessoss is one of the best preserved and untouched ancient cities in Turkey. Termessos constitutesan unusual synthesis of a large number of rare plants and animal species which are under protection in the Termessos National Park. Concealed by a multitude of wild p[lants and bounded by dense pine forest, the site, with its peaceful and untouched appearance, has a more distinct and and impressive atmosphere than other ancient cities.

    3. Gulluk Dagi (Termessos) Milli Parki

Termessos has many temples and very large cemeteries. The variety and decorations of his tombs are very rich. The tomb of Alketas (319 BC), one of the important commanders of Alexander the Great period, and others are also important in terms of shedding light on the history of the city. Next to the monumental tombs, the shield-motif sarcophagus depicting many of their warriors occupies a large area in the cemetery area. The most interesting work of Termessos in the Antalya Museum is the "Dog Tomb" exhibited in the "Hall of Tombs". The poetic inscription written by the owner of the dog Stefanos is of special importance as it is unique.

    Great experience

Ali and Mustafa provided a special day at this spectacular site!! They were able to allow me to get in when there were difficulties at the gate and then provided a well informed tour of an unusual set of ruins. If you want to see ruins as (almost) originally found, this is it. The mountain top setting provided dramatic views. Thanks to Ali and Mustafa for a great day!!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for this nice comment. It is very important that you have a good time with us. We will carry our services further with you. See you again.

    Warnings to climb Termessos.

We were there a few years ago and we found this site remarkable. There are "buts"....When booking the trip, no one informed us of important caveats. Upon arrival on the spot and in the coach, the guide asked if anyone suffered from diabetes, heart problems, asthma, walking. He advised to buy drinks (sweetened drinks, biscuits for diabetics, etc.) to bring hats and especially very good walking shoes. We knew why; the trails were extremely slippery (stones polished by the passage of many tourists). Scabrous because I almost slipped into the ravine. Not recommended for young mothers with the stroller. Note that most ladies and girls wore lovely sandals not suitable for climbingTermessos. Two groups, one Dutch-speaking (many) and one French-speaking (us + a younger couple) came first at the top at the cost of great efforts and stops. No regrets but hard work.

Superb day trip by friendly tour organizer.

Thanks to the people of U Can Travel we were able to do a wonderful day trip on our trip with friends in Antalya. The first contacts were made via the good-looking website from our home country and then via a chat app. The last practical handling took place in their office which is easy to find in the tourist area of old Antalya. A very friendly lady took care of the final details of our excursion. We were neatly picked up at our hotel in Lara at the agreed hour in a comfortable van. Termessos in very worth visiting and is located in a beautiful natural environment. There are very few tourists and that is explained by the fairly heavy climbing work that one has to do to the beautiful theater. Here and there one really has to clamber over and between stones. It is therefore not recommended for people who have difficulty walking. Afterwards, one has to descend the same way again. During our visit in December it was very cold. Our English-speaking guide Mustafa gave a very expert explanation of the history of this ancient city Termessos. After this very fascinating visit we drove towards the Kursunlu Falls where we were first offered a nice lunch which is included in the excursion price. After this, guide Mustafa went with us around the whole complex with the interesting explanation about the waterfall. After this very successful exploration we were dropped off at our hotel. Many thanks to the U Can Travel team for this wonderful experience. We highly recommend this to other people.

Response from the operator: thank you for choosing us. and your good review.

Termessos Daily Tour ANTALYA ...: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Antalya.

How much does Termessos Daily Tour ANTALYA ... cost?

    +

Prices start at $213 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Antalya usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Termessos Daily Tour ANTALYA ... take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Antalya is not rushed.

Is Termessos Daily Tour ANTALYA ... worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Antalya, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Termessos Daily Tour ANTALYA ...?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Termessos Daily Tour ANTALYA ... suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Termessos Daily Tour ANTALYA ...?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Antalya can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Antalya and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Termessos Daily Tour ANTALYA ... start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Antalya within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Antalya?

    +

On Outty we rank every Antalya experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Perge, Aspendos, Side and Waterfall Full Day Tour, Antalya: Perge, Aspendos, Side & Manavgat Waterfalls Tour, Antalya Excursion to Perge, Aspendos, side, Manavgat waterfall. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Antalya?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Antalya?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
