Fascinating History with Informative Guide

The hotel pickup was very convenient and our driver was courteous and friendly. Our tour of the caves and pyramids with Alicia was fun and informative. Alicia shared so much of the history of the area and the people who’ve lived there for centuries, including their daily lives and spiritual connection with the land. We enjoyed the brief respite to sample mezcal and learn how people of the area used agave and obsidian for all kinds of uses before exploring the pyramids. We visited in a drier time of year, but if you’re visiting in a rainier season wear sturdy shoes and take lots of sunscreen and water. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Randy, for sharing your experience! ☀️ We’re thrilled that you enjoyed the convenience of the hotel pickup and the friendly service from our driver. It’s wonderful to hear that Alicia made your tour of the caves and pyramids both fun and informative, sharing the rich history and traditions of the area. We appreciate your helpful tips for future visitors and your high recommendation! 🍂🌅

This is a must experience tour!

The tour was an amazing experience. Alicia was a fabulous tour guide along with our driver who was waiting on us every step of the way! Tour guide: Alicia was so wonderful in creating a curated experience both spiritually and educationally. We learn so much about the site, the religion and the historical artifacts. We enjoyed her guiding us through the caves, teotihuacan (sun and moon palace). She was incredible! Our driver: Miguel was sooooooo sweet!! He picked us up from our hotel on time, took us to the site and waited on us throughout our tour. Such a generous driver! We enjoyed our experience thoroughly!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Jenn, for sharing your experience! ☀️ It’s wonderful to hear that Alicia’s curated approach and Miguel’s thoughtful care made your tour both educational and enjoyable. Your feedback motivates us to keep delivering exceptional tours. 🍂🌅

An interesting and informative day

We went on a Monday, but it was not crowded. We were picked up right on time at 09:00 in front of our hotel. The driver picked up additional people at another hotel, and we headed out of Mexico City. Our first stop was at the caves where we met our guide Alyssia who gave a presentation about the building of the city and the culture of the people who built it and its spiritual significance. We were then given helmets and a flashlight and descended into a cave where we participated in a renewal ceremony . We exited the cave in a connected line to emulate Quetzalzoatl the serphant, boarded our van and proceeded to a tourist stop with clean bathrooms where we were given a presentation on minerals and the nopal cactus used to make pulque. We then headed for Teotihuacan where we toured to site and some of us climbed the Moon pyramid. We then returned to our van and went to a nearby restaurant where we had a pleasant lunch (not included). The day ended when we were dropped off at our hotel at about 5:30 pm. Alyssia is very knowlegable and passionate about helping tourists understand the people who built Teotihuacan.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Mike, for sharing your experience! ☀️ We love hearing how each part of your day, from the cave ritual to the mineral and nopal presentation, and the tour of Teotihuacán, helped create such a meaningful visit. Alyssia’s knowledge and passion truly make the experience unique. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back soon! 🍂🌅

Teotihuacan Pyramids | Pick up Hotel | Breakfast in Cueva: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Teotihuacan Pyramids | Pick up Hotel | Breakfast in Cueva cost?

+

Prices start at $1700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Teotihuacan Pyramids | Pick up Hotel | Breakfast in Cueva take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Teotihuacan Pyramids | Pick up Hotel | Breakfast in Cueva worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 134 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Teotihuacan Pyramids | Pick up Hotel | Breakfast in Cueva?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Teotihuacan Pyramids | Pick up Hotel | Breakfast in Cueva suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Teotihuacan Pyramids | Pick up Hotel | Breakfast in Cueva?

+

Around 47 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Teotihuacan Pyramids | Pick up Hotel | Breakfast in Cueva start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
