We unfortunately went in...
We unfortunately went in 90 degree weather. The trip starts with collecting all travellers, visiting a church built in 1520 and then a souvenir shop. Arrived on a hot day with no cover at the beautiful pyramids. Cannot climb since covid. Lunch at a buffet restaurant with decent food including salads and fruits. After this a visit to the Guadalupe Church. Very fascinating. I'm my group all others were Spanish speakers. Therefore only got some attention in English.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're sorry to hear that you encountered some challenges during your trip, particularly with the weather conditions and language barriers within your group. We apologize if you felt neglected in terms of attention due to the predominance of Spanish speakers in your group. We always strive to ensure that all our guests feel equally attended to and included in the experience, regardless of language differences. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will take it into account to improve our services in the future. We appreciate your understanding and hope that despite the challenges, you were still able to enjoy the cultural and historical richness of the destinations you visited. If you have any further concerns or feedback, please feel free to reach out to us. We value your input and would welcome the opportunity to make your next experience with us even better.

A full day and all of it was worth it!
Ursula was knowledgeable, handled the different language speakers well, and nicely had a small loudspeaker so we could all hear. Everything went very smoothly, she was flexible and I learned a learned quite a bit. Would highly recommend!

La Villita
It is a place where mostly Catholic people attend, during the dates of July and December there are quite a few people since there are pilgrimages and the mornings to the Virgin of Guadalupe, it is a very central place because it is located in Mexico City. outside it there is a souvenir and food market
Response from the operator: Hello Thank you for sharing your comments, since they make us improve :) See you soon!!!!

Great places but some issues
We enjoyed going to both places but only had 30 minutes at the shrine of our Lady of Guadalupe and I was thinking we would have at least an hour there. As a person of faith, I felt that the guide brought his anti Roman Catholic views to the tour and it was distracting and sometimes inappropriate. The pick up and drop off was extremely disorganized.
Response from the operator: Hello Tommy, We really appreciate your feedback, I'll be sure to follow up with staff to avoid any further situations like this one. Besides these inconveniences, I hope you enjoyed the rest of the tour. Thank you!

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Teotihuacan and Basilica of Guadalupe with mezcal, tequila & handcrafts: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Teotihuacan and Basilica of Guadalupe with mezcal, tequila & handcrafts cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Teotihuacan and Basilica of Guadalupe with mezcal, tequila & handcrafts take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Teotihuacan and Basilica of Guadalupe with mezcal, tequila & handcrafts worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Teotihuacan and Basilica of Guadalupe with mezcal, tequila & handcrafts?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Teotihuacan and Basilica of Guadalupe with mezcal, tequila & handcrafts suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Teotihuacan and Basilica of Guadalupe with mezcal, tequila & handcrafts?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Teotihuacan and Basilica of Guadalupe with mezcal, tequila & handcrafts start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
