    What you'll see and do

    1. Yarkon River and Park Hayarkon

We begin by the Yarkon River, where a Philistine port town stood in the age of Goliath. A century ago this was all sand dunes, vineyards and camel caravans. Then in 1909 a few families drew lots with seashells and started a new city. I'll tell you who dreamed it, and how.

      20 minutes here

    2. Old Tel Aviv Port Area

A stadium once stood right here on the sand, built in six weeks for the first Maccabiah, the "Jewish Olympics," in 1932. A small town with no sports equipment welcomed athletes from all over the world. I'll tell you how they pulled it off, and why the British feared the next games.

      15 minutes here

    3. Old Tel Aviv Port Area

Here stood the Levant Fair, which put this young town on the world map under the sign of the Flying Camel. You will hear about free Belgian chocolates, a friendly letter from the President of Lebanon, and a famous conductor who came here to stand up to the Nazis.

      20 minutes here

    4. Yarkon River and Park Hayarkon

The quiet brick hall by the river hides one of the most unbelievable lives of the last century. A revolutionary, a rescuer, a judge, a prisoner and a builder: the same man was all of them. How did he end up by the Yarkon? I'll tell you.

      20 minutes here

    5. Tel Aviv

This is where Israel's air force was born. It began with a small flying company that was more than it looked. In 1948 the new country had almost no planes, so it found three daring ways to get them. I'll tell you how.

    Amazing Tour!

Maria created a really interesting history walk in Tel Aviv. The tour was both visually beautiful at sunset and interesting, with a great balance of stories and history. It was in English, which made it very easy to follow, and Maria herself was lovely and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Amazing Tel Aviv tour full of surprises

Did the tour last week. I am familiar with the place, but hearing all the stories of its history shed new light on every spot. Everything was presented in such interesting and creative ways. Plus, the people on the tour were very diverse, and we had many interesting talks between us. I strongly recommend - whether it’s your first time in the area, or if you have already been in this area several times.

Maria loves what she does and it's fun traveling like this

We took part in a sunset tour following the first motorcycle, from Hyrkon Park to Tel Aviv Harbour. The tour was fascinating and fun. Maria grabbed the whole group with her enthusiasm, and we could use her to imagine what was here once. I’m sure we’ll have more tours with her in the future. Warmly recommended!

Tel Aviv Private Walking Tour: Israel’s Most Successful Startup: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tel Aviv.

How much does Tel Aviv Private Walking Tour: Israel’s Most Successful Startup cost?

    +

Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tel Aviv usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tel Aviv Private Walking Tour: Israel’s Most Successful Startup take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tel Aviv is not rushed.

Is Tel Aviv Private Walking Tour: Israel’s Most Successful Startup worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tel Aviv, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tel Aviv Private Walking Tour: Israel’s Most Successful Startup?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tel Aviv Private Walking Tour: Israel’s Most Successful Startup suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tel Aviv Private Walking Tour: Israel’s Most Successful Startup?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tel Aviv can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tel Aviv and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tel Aviv Private Walking Tour: Israel’s Most Successful Startup start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tel Aviv within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tel Aviv?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tel Aviv experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Carmel Market Tasting Tour - LocaLocal, Guided Pub Crawl Night Tour at Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv Street Art & Graffiti Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tel Aviv?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tel Aviv?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
