The best introduction to the food and wine scene in Madrid
Our tour guide Nacho was amazing. Customised the tour perfectly with our focus on great food and wine experiences. Visited several places featuring old historic tapas and wine bars and new exciting food joints equally as tasty. We did the tour starting at 6pm and would recommend for anyone looking for a great evening experience of Madrid.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your feedback, our food tours are one of a kind and Nacho is a great ambassador for the Spanish-Madrileño gastronomy, so reading your comment makes us very happy. We hope to see you again in our city Best Regards

Wonderful Private Tour of Local Food Markets in Madrid
We had a wonderful tour of Madrid's food markets with Enrique. We visited three different markets, stopped at specialty stores along the way, and received a walking tour of sights between each stop. We started with breakfast at a small stall inside our first market and finished with lunch at a larger restaurant inside our final market across town. In between, we visited numerous stalled and sampled everything from Gildas to Iberico ham to cheese to pastries to ice cream to wine, etc. etc. Enrique also sent us home with a selection of delicacies purchased en route. As other reviewers have mentioned, Enrique knew and greeted almost everyone we saw at the markets, was a delightful and thoughtful guide, and gave us wonderful recommendations for other places to visit during our stay. Our group was unusual as it included myself, my 16-year old son, and a close friend from Barcelona, but Enrique put everyone at ease and made sure that he catered to all of our tastes. My Barcelona friend made sure to get Enrique's contact information as she planned to come back and do his tapas tour, which I imagine would be like going to all of Madrid's best hidden spots for tapas with a local, entertaining friend. And my son will tell you that this was one of his favorite things he did in all of Spain.
Response from the operator: Thank you son much for your feedback, It was a real pleasure to have you with us, and let us show you hlw the actual markets, and produce of Spain works, we hope meeting you again in our wonderful city! Best Regards

If you're in Madrid, book a tour with MadSnail! You will love it!
We had a terrific experience touring and eating our way around Madrid with Enrique. He's passionate about the city and full of knowledge. All the vendors and merchants knew and adored him, and he made our afternoon so much fun. We highly recommend MadSnail - Enrique was exactly what you want in a tour guide. Fun, flexible, clever, and showed us things we'd never find on our own. 10/10! Thank you, Enrique!
Response from the operator: Dear Georgi, thank you very much for your feedback, we are very happy to read your comment and we hope to see you and your friends and family in the near future. Best Regards and Merry Christmas

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tasting Madrid: Tapas Private Guided Tour (Customizable): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Tasting Madrid: Tapas Private Guided Tour (Customizable) cost?
+
Prices start at $220 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tasting Madrid: Tapas Private Guided Tour (Customizable) take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Tasting Madrid: Tapas Private Guided Tour (Customizable) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tasting Madrid: Tapas Private Guided Tour (Customizable)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tasting Madrid: Tapas Private Guided Tour (Customizable) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tasting Madrid: Tapas Private Guided Tour (Customizable)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tasting Madrid: Tapas Private Guided Tour (Customizable) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
