Excellent use of time
Food tour is excellent, our guide was a bit late due to a time mix up but she was so nice and apologetic it was fine. Not only do you get a history of Polish food but our guide added family history to make it very interesting.

Warsaw Old Town Food and Walking tour

Wonderful introduction to Polish cuisine and culture
Our private tour was scheduled for an afternoon when the temperature was forecast to be over 100F. Marysia (Mariya) contacted us and our travel agent a couple of days in advance and rescheduled it for the following day. This alone reassured us that we would have a pleasant experience. The meeting point was close to our hotel. Marysia brought us cheese with rye bread to start the tour. We then went to the first restaurant and had two types of appetizers - two kinds of pierogi and pickles and cabbage. The main dish was meat and vegetables inside a bread bowl. We ended with two different kinds of cheesecake. Throughout the tour Marysia also briefed us on the neighborhood. Our total tour was close to three hours visiting three restaurants. the entire experience was superb.

A Country, it’s Capital, and its Cuisine: a Family Story
A country is its people, its food, and its stories. If you have the opportunity to book a food tour with Maria you’ll have an unforgettable time getting an introduction to the history of Warsaw and the influences of climate and culture on Polish cuisine. Through the lens of her family story, you’ll appreciate a very personalized account of Poland’s fight for survival and its reconstruction after WWII. The country’s rebirth is exemplified by a rebuilt Old Town where you’ll explore the different flavors and textures of Polish food and enjoy Maria’s rich knowledge of a place and a people she truly calls her own. Our family had a tremendous afternoon with her. I’ll echo this dual warning: come hungry and pace yourselves!
Response from the operator: Thank you!

Come hungry and ready to learn
This was Maria’s first food tour of 2026. She took the slow winter months off. Maria is a native of Warsaw and her family has been in Poland for 800 years. In addition to taking us to some great food, she showed us how Warsaw rebuilt itself following the Second World War. I have been on a lot of food tours over the years and this is the best I’ve ever had in terms of quantity of food, personal connection with the tour guide and a history lesson. Let Maria show you around. You won’t regret it.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Taste of Poland, Old Town food tour and guided walk - 12 tastings: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Warsaw.
How much does Taste of Poland, Old Town food tour and guided walk - 12 tastings cost?
+
Prices start at $380 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Warsaw usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Taste of Poland, Old Town food tour and guided walk - 12 tastings take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Warsaw is not rushed.
Is Taste of Poland, Old Town food tour and guided walk - 12 tastings worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 72 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Warsaw, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Taste of Poland, Old Town food tour and guided walk - 12 tastings?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Taste of Poland, Old Town food tour and guided walk - 12 tastings suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Taste of Poland, Old Town food tour and guided walk - 12 tastings?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Warsaw can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Warsaw and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Taste of Poland, Old Town food tour and guided walk - 12 tastings start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Warsaw within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Warsaw?
+
On Outty we rank every Warsaw experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Discover the Dark Side of Warsaw in Praga District by Retro Bus, Private Tour: Warsaw City Sightseeing by Retro Fiat, Warsaw for WWII Buffs - private tour with hotel pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Warsaw?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Warsaw?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
