    Peru with the family

We are a family of 4 (parents and 2 children aged 18 and 14), we booked a tour of Peru of about 2 weeks through Evaneos - Peruresponsabile - Sara. We had very high expectations since the destination was one of our dreams. We were fully satisfied with the choice of destination, the welcoming population, the wonderful nature and history.... We were also pleasantly surprised by Evaneos-Peruresponsabile. Sara was kind and helpful before departure and the 24/7 assistance was super efficient even for non-urgent matters. Highly recommended!

    Wonderful Peru 🇵🇪

We just finished a splendid trip to Peru organized by Francesco for peruresponsabile.it and we can only recommend it. The organization was impeccable: everything went smoothly from start to finish, without any unexpected events. Transfers, excursions, and schedules were managed with great precision. The guides were always punctual, knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging, capable of conveying the history, culture, and traditions of this wonderful country with enthusiasm. Peru won us over with the extraordinary variety of its landscapes, the richness of its thousand-year history, the spectacular nature, and the hospitality of the people. Every stop on the trip left us with something special. Among the experiences we recommend without hesitation is the stay on the island of Taquile, as guests of a local family: an authentic and intense moment that allows you to truly get to know the life and traditions of Lake Titicaca. Naturally, the great archaeological sites, starting with Machu Picchu, are also simply extraordinary and worth the trip on their own. One last very positive note also goes to the accommodations, which were always clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Thanks to peruresponsabile.it for letting us experience a trip full of emotions, perfectly organized, and one that we will remember for a long time.

    Fair organisation

Not having any answers to my 2 messages from the tour operator, I contacted viator who kindly answered me but who did not solve the problem. Fortunately the receptionist of our hotel was able to contact them around 6pm and tell us that the departure was at 7.15am the next morning. Our guide was notified the night before too. He was friendly but lacked skills. Fortunately the stay at Felipe's in Taquile will remain an unforgettable experience.

    Great experience!

We traveled with Peru Responsible for some stops of our trip and the organization was impeccable. The agency recommended authentic and well-kept experiences, such as the mountain of Pallcoyo in Cusco, a beautiful alternative and much less crowded than Vinicunca, and two days on Lake Titicaca, with overnight stay in Taquile with Felipe’s family, with whom we had a great time. We then continued with three days in the Salar de Uyuni, all perfectly organized. The local contact person has always been helpful, precise and punctual. A serious and reliable agency, which we recommend without hesitation!

Taquile Community Homestay - Responsible Tourism: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puno.

How much does Taquile Community Homestay - Responsible Tourism cost?

    +

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puno usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Taquile Community Homestay - Responsible Tourism take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puno is not rushed.

Is Taquile Community Homestay - Responsible Tourism worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puno, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Taquile Community Homestay - Responsible Tourism?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Taquile Community Homestay - Responsible Tourism suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Taquile Community Homestay - Responsible Tourism?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puno can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puno and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Taquile Community Homestay - Responsible Tourism start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puno within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puno?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puno experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tour to Uros and Taquile Islands in a Fast Boat, Uros and Taquile Speedboat Day Tour in Small Group, Uros and Taquile Islands on New and Comfortable SpeedBoat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puno?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puno?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
