Cap Spartel
At Cap Spartel, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea, travelers will experience one of Tangier’s most iconic coastal viewpoints. Standing at the northwestern tip of Africa, this dramatic cape offers breathtaking panoramic views of both seas, framed by lush pine forests and rugged cliffs. Your guide will share the history and maritime significance of this landmark, including stories about ancient shipwrecks, colonial-era lighthouses, and the geographic importance of the Strait of Gibraltar. You’ll visit the famous Cap Spartel Lighthouse, built in 1864, and have time to take memorable photos against the stunning backdrop of ocean and sky. On clear days, travelers might even glimpse the coast of Spain across the strait. This stop is often combined with a camel ride along the Atlantic beach nearby, giving you a chance to enjoy a traditional Moroccan experience with the sea breeze and dunes around you.

Caves of Hercules
Step into legend at the Hercules Caves, one of Tangier’s most iconic and mysterious natural sites. Located along the Atlantic coast just a short drive from Cap Spartel, these ancient caves are steeped in mythology, history, and natural beauty. As you enter the caves, your guide will explain the legend of Hercules, the mythical hero said to have rested here after separating Africa from Europe. Inside, you'll explore naturally formed limestone chambers, partially shaped by the sea and human hands over centuries — once used by Berbers to carve millstones. The highlight of the visit is the famous "Map of Africa" opening — a dramatic sea-facing hole in the cave wall shaped like the African continent. It's one of the most photographed spots in Tangier and offers a perfect frame for photos with crashing waves in the background. Whether you're drawn by the myth, geology, or the raw Atlantic energy, a visit to the Hercules Caves offers a fascinating mix of nature, legend, and coastal magic.

Action Packed Day
We had a wonderful experience with Muhammad 67 exploring Tetouan and Tangier. He was very courteous, engaging, timely, and respectful throughout the day. He was also very accommodating to our schedule and preferences, allowing us to see and experience as much as possible. It was an action-packed day filled with culture, history, and highlights from both cities. One of our favorite experiences was the camel ride on the beach in Tangier. Muhammad did a great job adjusting the itinerary to our interests and making sure we had a memorable experience. Our only suggestion would be to provide clearer instructions regarding the initial meeting location. Once we connected, everything went smoothly. Overall, we had a fantastic day and would highly recommend Muhammad 67 to anyone looking to experience the best of Tetouan and Tangier!

Visit to the markets of Tangier and Tetouan... a little about the cities - only in English
If your language is Spanish, this tour sold by Celebrity Excel IS NOT FOR YOU. Operated by Alizes Travel, there was a prohibition on speaking in Spanish, only in English. Interesting visit to both markets, both Tangier and Tetouan. The visits to the cities themselves were very brief, mostly from the bus and passing by very quickly to take good photos.

That was our driver for...
That was our driver for this full day tour He was excellent. He picked us up from port, took us to Vape Spartel, Hercules Caves and then Tetouan, a UNESCO heritage site where a different guide took us to see the Kasbah and Medina. There was a lot of good interaction and cultural exchange with our driver. I highly recommend asking for him if you book a tour with this company. The guide for Tetouan was good too but lots of shopping stops as well as a cash only lunch (additional charge) that l didn't expect. All in all, l learned a lot and it was a wonderful time.

Nice reserved old Medina, quiet atmosphere, comfortable and safe city Tetouan
The travel company provide very clear information one day in advance. The trip was a very relax one, we spent 2.5 hours followed with knowledgeable guide Mohammed discovered the history and culture of Tetouan, Medina was quiet and peaceful, not touristic and overpriced. Our driver Mohamed67 made our tour comfortable all the way. Recommended.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! We’re glad you enjoyed the tour and appreciated Tetouan’s calm and authentic atmosphere.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tangier & Tetouan: Full-Day Sightseeing Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tangier.
How much does Tangier & Tetouan: Full-Day Sightseeing Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tangier usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tangier & Tetouan: Full-Day Sightseeing Tour take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tangier is not rushed.
Is Tangier & Tetouan: Full-Day Sightseeing Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tangier, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tangier & Tetouan: Full-Day Sightseeing Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tangier & Tetouan: Full-Day Sightseeing Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Tangier & Tetouan: Full-Day Sightseeing Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tangier can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tangier and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tangier & Tetouan: Full-Day Sightseeing Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tangier within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tangier?
+
On Outty we rank every Tangier experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Tangier: Chefchaouen Day Trip with Local Guide, luxury 4 Hour Private Tour of Tangier, Authentic Full Day Private Tour of Tangier. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tangier?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tangier?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
