No showed for a trip to Morocco

Do not use Julia travel. They no showed on my pick up at 0415 in the am in Malaga. Zero apologies and zero excuses. Though they said they would reimburse me. It’s a month later and I now have to dispute the charge with my credit card company I had to walk to a bus stop leaving my hotel at 3:30 in the morning to meet them. And as I said, they didn’t show up. What a huge disappointment. Book with anyone else but them.

No Call No Show Julia Travels Tangier Morocco

Meeting time was 10 Avenida Andalicia at 5:10am. We were ther at 5:05am. Waited over an hour. Called the phone number from the confirmation email, no answer. sent Viator chat message, no answer. Sent What’s App message, no answer. Tried to leave a message on Julia Travels website, but site would not allow me to “send”. Very disappointing, this company ruined my vacation. Not enough time to book another Morocco trip for less than $1k.

THE WORST TRIP OF MY LIFE, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS PRIP AT ALL.

It was Saturday, December 27,2025. We were supposed to be picked up at 5:10 a.m. at 5:30 I decided to contact LUCIA TRAVEL. Nobody answered the phone. I i contacted a TRIPADVISOR agent. He tried to contact them and no answered at all. More people were gathering and wondering what was going on. At 6:30 a.m., after many attempts someone answered the phone and let us know that picked up was moved to 6:40 a.m. The tour guy ALICIA came off the bus totally clueless and avoiding answering any of our questions. SHE IS THE WORST TOUR GUY I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE. Nobody knew anything and almost two hours later she shared with us that we were to take the ferry that leaves at 12:00, not the 9:00 a.m one as planned. Reason why, I am still wondering. It took THREE AND A HALF HOURS to gathered EVERYBODY. NEXT, Alicia got names and booking numbers and started to call our names to tell us that we owed more than 259 USD and HER DOUGHTER from the main office notified her about it. Another VOLCANO EXPLODED among ALICIA AND CLIENTS. Nothing of that was real, she was simply clueless, and her lack of professionalism was immeasurable. IN TANGER: Another tour guy(local) joined us. A huge time on a bus seeing CALIFORNIA neighborhood. Then, TANGER CENTRE. He took us on a tour where even walking was risky because of the surroundings. After that LUNCH, when lunch was over, we were taken to a kind of store where no one of us bought anything. No to be enough, another two more stores with a lot of time seating in an area NOT SAFE AT ALL. The vendors were trying to sell product to us. The trip was almost over, and we had 20 minutes on our own to explore. COMING BACK: They tried to screw up the drop off under a weather situation that was putting all of us at risk of a car accident. All PHONE ALATMS WENT OFF, MALAGA STOPPED PUBLIC TRANSIT, they DO NOT FOLLOW ANY OF THOSE RULES. At this time, we had TWO DRIVERS and our "WONDERFUL" ALICIA. Thank you for reading and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO TO BOOK THIS TRP AT ALL.

Response from the operator: Dear nelsonpM231PI, We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the time you took to share your detailed feedback. Please allow us to clarify a few key points regarding the day of your tour: The departure time from Málaga was indeed rescheduled due to operational adjustments, and we regret that we were unable to reach you beforehand. While we understand how frustrating this must have been, we would like to note that your patience in waiting for the bus is appreciated. Once the full group was onboard, the guide proceeded with the explanations as planned. As for the itinerary in Tangier, it followed the scheduled route, including panoramic views, a walking tour, lunch, and optional shopping stops. Safety is a top priority, and we want to reassure you that Tangier is a safe destination for our tours. The change of driver on the return journey was made to comply with EU driving regulations concerning driver rest periods. This is standard procedure to ensure both passenger and driver safety. Finally, we are aware that mobile alerts were issued due to weather conditions later in the evening. At that point, all passengers were already en route to their hotels, and the decision to complete the return journey was made following the guidance from local authorities. Thank you again for your feedback. Best regards,

Tangier, Morocco Day Trip from Costa del Sol: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Malaga.

How much does Tangier, Morocco Day Trip from Costa del Sol cost?

    +

Prices start at $195 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Malaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tangier, Morocco Day Trip from Costa del Sol take?

    +

Plan for about 15 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Malaga is not rushed.

Is Tangier, Morocco Day Trip from Costa del Sol worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 689 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Malaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tangier, Morocco Day Trip from Costa del Sol?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tangier, Morocco Day Trip from Costa del Sol suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 15-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tangier, Morocco Day Trip from Costa del Sol?

    +

Around 241 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Malaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Malaga and add a light layer if any part of the 15-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tangier, Morocco Day Trip from Costa del Sol start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Malaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Malaga?

    +

On Outty we rank every Malaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Malaga City Tour 2 Hours Monumental Segway Tour, Taste of Malaga Tour : Tapas, History and Local Customs, Go local for a day!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Malaga?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Malaga?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
