About this experience
Tandem paragliding flights are mostly done from Lions Head or Signal Hill inside the beautiful Table Mountain National Park. Tandem paragliding flights generally last anything from 7 to 20 minutes, unfortunately the time spent in the air can not be guaranteed as we are totally reliant on the weather conditions on the day. Here at Fly Cape Town Paragliding we love to paraglide and your pilot will stay in the air with you for as long as possible. Our landing fields are either at the Camps Bay High school sports field in front of the Bungalow restaurant or at the Seapoint promenade in front of the Winchester Mansions. The landing area depends on the general wind direction on the day.

Don't think about it, just book and enjoy! Great Experience!
Fly Cape Town Paragliding was Awesome! Great communication with myself and my fiance' to schedule. The instructors and pilots were all great people and made our experience special. Jumping off of Signal Hill and ending up oceanside down below is an experience we won't forget and absolutely repeat with this team.

Wonderful exciting experience.
My 18 and 15 year old did this in Cape Town on Signal Hill. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Both kids felt extremely comfortable and safe the entire time. It was a beautiful day and they absolutely loved it. Highly recommend.

Best Experience in Cape Town
An absolutely peaceful and enjoyable paragliding experience over Cape Town! The flight was smooth and comfortable, with breathtaking views from Signal Hill. The staff were professional and made me feel completely at ease. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cape Town!

Disappointed
I’m giving this a one-star review because I’m deeply disappointed. The entire experience was a rushed waste of time and money. My flight was barely 5-6 minutes—just a couple of quick turns over Signal Hill, a few over the ocean, then we landed. I hardly realized I was in the air before it was over. Prep was also minimal—just a minute filling a form and basic instructions. I expected at least 15-20 minutes of flying and taking in the view, but it felt like this was just a photo op for quick snapshots. If you want to truly enjoy a flight, this isn’t it.
Response from the operator: Hi Maxim, Thank you for taking the time to review our services. We are quite surprised with your review as we spent quite a lot of time with you before and after the flight. Unfortunately flight times depend completely on the weather conditions on the day as clearly stated on our website. You seemed quite happy with the flight and did not mention anything to us. You were issued a Gift Voucher from a friend. We contacted you and offered you / the buyer a refund of which you were happy to receive. In the interim we have processed the refund. We will never expect someone to pay for a flight that they are not happy with. Kind regards, The Fly Cape Town Team

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tandem Paragliding Flight: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Tandem Paragliding Flight cost?
+
Prices start at $2250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tandem Paragliding Flight take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Tandem Paragliding Flight worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 108 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tandem Paragliding Flight?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tandem Paragliding Flight suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Tandem Paragliding Flight?
+
Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tandem Paragliding Flight start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
