Great start to our trip!
We did this class at the end of our first full day in Tokyo and had a fantastic time! My daughter loves takoyaki and wanted to learn how to make it, and we are so glad we chose this class. Plenty of food and even some karaoke at the end! Our host even walked us to the subway station. Overall, the perfect way to start our trip. Thank you!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for joining our Takoyaki experience. We are delighted to hear that your daughter enjoyed learning how to make takoyaki. It makes us very happy to know that your family enjoyed Japanese food culture and karaoke together, and that the experience became a wonderful start to your trip to Japan. We hope that the memories you created with your family will stay with you for many years to come. If you visit Tokyo again, please feel free to stop by anytime.

Excellent experience with great service
We didn’t know what to expect going in, but overall we had a great time. The staff are super accommodating, friendly, and sweet. They helped us how to make takoyaki with genuine sincerity and care. The place itself is tucked away in a small alley, so I would recommend searching Shodo Cafe. You will see the sign with a crane and take the stone stairs up to the bar/cafe. When we walked in there was a different group doing calligraphy and another group doing art/stamp work, which is why when searching on Google the address or area may show different businesses. We chose the all-you-can-drink + takoyaki package and they were very accommodating in providing as many drinks as desired. The takoyaki process was simple and they had us cut the octopus, onions, and other ingredients. Overall we highly recommend this experience because of the service and staff. They really make you feel like you’re family and we an excellent time with them.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! Please do visit us again when you’re in Tokyo!

Takoyaki Blast!
This was a very fun experience and I would highly recommend it. The hosts went above and beyond, were very friendly and welcoming to us and really made the evening! We always had quick refills on our drinks and had plenty of Takoyaki to cook for the entire family. I would say this is less of a formal cooking class and more of a fun night out making Takoyaki. It was much better than I expected because our fantastic hosts turned it into a fun night of Karaoke. A definite bonus and it made the night one we will never forget. We would definitely do it again!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are very happy to hear that you had an enjoyable experience. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future!

Fun and delicious
Other than difficulty in finding the location in the middle of a huge thunder storm, it was a great way to get out of the rain. Kana and her friend Asami were fun hosts (and patient with my Japanese), while the Takoyaki was very tasty! Not to mention the endless Lemon Sours! Very enjoyable!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review and the compliment! Would be happy if you remember Japan sometimes. We are looking forward to seeing you again!

I love the class and Takoyaki!!
My first Takoyaki was in Osaka. There are lots of Takoyaki restaurants in Osaka. I really liked Takoyaki and wanted to know how to make it. Then I looked for experience and found this cooking class in Tokyo. It was so fun and easy to make it!! Absolutely delicious!! I will make them for my family when I back home. Highly recommend if you like Takoyaki!
Response from the operator: Dear customer Thank you so much for your great review! We are so glad to hear that you all enjoyed this cooking class. We also had a great time with you. Hope you try to make Takoyaki at home. We keep trying to broaden the beautiful Japanese culture. Looking forward to seeing you again! Thank you,

TAKOYAKI Cooking Class with All-you-can-drink in Tokyo, Roppongi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.
How much does TAKOYAKI Cooking Class with All-you-can-drink in Tokyo, Roppongi cost?
+
Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does TAKOYAKI Cooking Class with All-you-can-drink in Tokyo, Roppongi take?
+
Plan for about 1.2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.
Is TAKOYAKI Cooking Class with All-you-can-drink in Tokyo, Roppongi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule TAKOYAKI Cooking Class with All-you-can-drink in Tokyo, Roppongi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is TAKOYAKI Cooking Class with All-you-can-drink in Tokyo, Roppongi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book TAKOYAKI Cooking Class with All-you-can-drink in Tokyo, Roppongi?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 1.2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does TAKOYAKI Cooking Class with All-you-can-drink in Tokyo, Roppongi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tokyo?
+
Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tokyo?
+
Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tokyo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
