Memorable first day in India thanks to Taj Golden Tours

When I started my research for day tours to the Taj Mahal, I found many offers available online. Taj Golden Tours was, however, by far the most professional and gave me a comfort feeling right from the beginning. My request for a quote was responded to promptly and professionally. Mr Khan immediately connected with me via WhatsApp, confirming the initial positive feeling I had. He provided me with all the information I needed and what I appreciated the most was his flexibility. I requested to drop off our bags at our hotel before driving to Agra, which was no problem and no additional cost. In fact, he advised me that the driver was at my disposal for the entire date and I could organise my day as stored me best (we had no interest in the hotel breakfast or lunch, or the craft markets). Our flight from Europe landed at midnight so by 1 am we had passed immigration and collected our bags. Our driver, Rahul, was already there waiting for us. He greeted us with a garland of fresh flowers - a wonderful welcome to India! The vehicle we had booked (SUV) was very comfortable. The only improvement I can think of is that I would have liked to have water available for us in the car. Nevertheless, Rahul was very attentive to our needs and stopped along the way for us to have breakfast and use the bathrooms. Arriving in Agra we were met by our tour guide, Ravi, who accompanied us to the Taj Mahal. Ravi studied history and was exceedingly knowledgeable. I can definitely recommend hiring a tour guide - it makes a world of difference having a knowledgeable person pointing out the small details one would miss. When we arrived Ravi had already purchased the tickets online so we were whisked through the foreigner line of the West Gate. After the tour of the Taj Mahal, which is breath-taking we decided to tour the Agra Fort. Being tired from the long journey we were initially thinking of skipping the Fort, but in retrospect we’re very happy that we did the tour. Rahul then whisked us back to our hotel in Delhi, stopping about halfway there for lunch. All in all, we had the most memorable day and could not hide our astonishment at the perfect organisation. The traffic in India may seem chaotic to foreigners but I can assure you the professional organisation and reliability is remarkable. What I really appreciated was the constant contact to Mr Khan. He was continuously checking up on us, asking if everything is okay or if he could do something for us. Very trustworthy was the fact that we were not required to make an advance payment and we could settle with the tour guide. Although the quote was made in US dollars Mr Kahn had no issue with us paying in euros, saving us the exchange. My recommendation to Mr Khan would be to quote in Euros in future to avoid the declining US Dollar. Mr Ravi also organised a driver for the following day to take us from the hotel to the airport. The driver arrived on time, the vehicle was very comfortable and the cost was about half of what the hotel was quoting. Thank you so much for making our first day in India so memorable!!

Response from the operator: Dear guest thank you so much for your kind review. We very much appreciate it and glad to know that you enjoyed your tour. We look forward to welcome you again on your next trip to India. Also looking recommendations from you. Thank you & Best regards.

    Best in Agra!

We visited Taj Mahal in October 2025 with a group. Our guide Asif is super nice personality and professional!  Calm, well manered, punctual and perfectly dressed that what you see at first time you meet him (and he won't disappoint you ever after). Apart the fact Asif knows every historical detail and he is a great storyteller he also perfectly understands our europeanwestern culture. So I felt like he invited us to the Indian world but was speaking my language! He is client-oriented and very helpful. Due to the rules of Taj I couldn't take my camera, so I was little bit upset about that. Asif was super caring (but not annoying) and did his best to make me feel better. He made great pictures and videos for all of us, he was always ready to help and he knows all the best spots for taking pictures. His English is very fluent and understandable (which is not so often in India)! By the end of the tour I felt completly at ease, comfortable and safe with him! Our group tour leader works with Asif for many years. I myself work in tourism and I can say that wherever you need a guide for a group, couples, family trips, VIP -  Asif can do it all perfectly.

Taj Mahal Tour with Agra Fort – All-Inclusive Day Trip from Delhi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does Taj Mahal Tour with Agra Fort – All-Inclusive Day Trip from Delhi cost?

    +

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Taj Mahal Tour with Agra Fort – All-Inclusive Day Trip from Delhi take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is Taj Mahal Tour with Agra Fort – All-Inclusive Day Trip from Delhi worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 45 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Taj Mahal Tour with Agra Fort – All-Inclusive Day Trip from Delhi?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Taj Mahal Tour with Agra Fort – All-Inclusive Day Trip from Delhi suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Taj Mahal Tour with Agra Fort – All-Inclusive Day Trip from Delhi?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Taj Mahal Tour with Agra Fort – All-Inclusive Day Trip from Delhi start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

    +

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
