Great Tour but skip the shopping.
Pickup was on time. Driver was friendly and got us there and back without issue. Keep in mind, this is a long drive and the Delhi traffic especially when returning is terrible but that is reality in India. Picked up the tour guide in Agra and we took a rickshaw to the Taj Mahal. The guide quickly got us in skipping the lines and gave a really good overview of the architecture and history. He left us to go into the tomb on our own. Once in the tomb, there are guides that will give you further information. They work off tips but don’t insist on them. I thought the information they provided was worth the tip. We finished the Taj Mahal and went to lunch. We went to a local restaurant and were told order anything we want as it’s included in the tour. We didn’t go crazy but order a decent sized lunch with drinks. Food was very good as was the service. Out waiter ensured we knew that tip was not included so we provided a tip. Next up, and why I didn’t give the tour five stars, were Two stops at shops under the guise of education. We were quickly educated and walked to the gift shop which was the main purpose. Both shops have very nice but very overpriced items. We haggled over prices but I certainly did not get a great deal on the marble box I bought. Overall, I liked the tour but would be more insistent on skipping the shopping parts.

A wonderful day at the Taj!
My tour started with Chandr, a very professional driver who picked me up in Delhi and drove me over three hours to Agra. He was a skilled driver who was not aggressive and ensured I was comfortable, even stopping along the way for a break, restroom, snacks. My guide met us in Agra and handled all entry to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. He was very knowledgeable on the story and background of both locations and made it an interactive tour. He was also great with taking pictures and knew all of the best spots to get a great shot! The duo took me to a lovely buffet restaurant with great food and service. There were two stops after the tours that were introduced to me as "educational opportunities" to see how ancient families carried out their trade- gem stones and art work. The first was definitely a tourist trap that was uncomfortable for me to get out of as I was ushers from room to room and vendor to vendor. I don't tend to shop while traveling so I had no interest in this. I declined stopping for the second opportunity understanding it would be the same environment. The guide and driver obliged my decision, so please know that you have a choice. The driver then drove me back to Delhi. On the way we drove into a monsoon which was something to experience, the roads flooded very quickly, however, my driver remained calm and skilled and got me to my hotel without issue. It was a great comfort to be with a skilled driver. Thank you to all!!
Response from the operator: Dear madam Kylie thank you very much for your lovely review we appreciate Kinds Regards

Great tour of Agra and Delhi
I had booked Hotel Sunstar grand and was looking for a cab to travel to Agra since i was with wife and kid for Delhi sightseeing, I called the reception and they gave me their tour manager Latif's name, hence i booked the tour from him. His drivers are very trustworthy, on one occasion at Mathura we were at the stage of getting duped by a local guide, but the driver prevented this and accompanied us personally to the correct temple. Also we could trust him with our entire luggage, At Akshardham there was a huge queue and it would be late for us, hence he even offered to drop our luggage to the hotel, while we went sightseeing Akshardham temple. Also at Agra the Driver fell ill, still he was very determined to take us back to Delhi. A thorough professional service from Latif
Response from the operator: Dear Guest many Greetings and thanks a lot for kind review we appreciate and looking forward visit again many thanks

Awesome tour!!
Awesome place to book your tours. Mr. Latif was very nice and gave us (4 people) a good rate. The vehicle we got was clean and the driver is very polite and the tour guide at Taj Mahal was also really nice. I have heard lots of scams happening at taj mahal when buying things but the tour guide warned us about everything and told us how to bargain :). Overall very trustworthy place to book your holidays. Thanks a lot!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your great review, about our service. it was very nice to meet Thanks Again Best Regards

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Taj Mahal Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Taj Mahal Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $47 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Taj Mahal Tour take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Taj Mahal Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Taj Mahal Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Taj Mahal Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Taj Mahal Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Taj Mahal Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
