Ruined experience
Unfortunately from the moment we met our tour guide we were hurriedly rushed round the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. During our meal our guide asked for my phone, I thought he was going to take some more pictures of us, but after a few moments I saw him typing away on my phone. He had accessed my trip Advisor account and my photos and had written a reveiw of the tour and posted it withou my consent. He then insisted on taking us to an extremely expensive shop where we were given the "hard sell" on various items. I would far rather have spent more time at the Taj Mahal or Red Fort instead of being forced into a shop so that he could get a back hander from the owner. This totally ruined the whole experience. The only saving grace from this trip was the visit to Elephant Sanctuary which was excellent, well run and extremely informative and interesting.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback in such detail. We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet the high standards we strive to provide, and we offer our deepest apologies for the inconvenience and discomfort you encountered. We are particularly concerned by your comments regarding feeling rushed at the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, the misuse of your personal phone and TripAdvisor account without your consent, and the unsatisfactory shopping visit. Please be assured that this behavior is taken very seriously and is not representative of our company’s values or policies. Your feedback has been formally noted and will be thoroughly reviewed so that appropriate action can be taken to prevent this from happening again. We do appreciate you highlighting the positive experience at the Elephant Sanctuary, and we are truly sorry that the overall tour was negatively affected. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention; your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our services.

Neeraj (Nick) was great! He gave great insight into the history of the Taj Mahal as well as giving us space to take pictures and take it all in. He definitely knew his way around and it made all the difference to have him as a guide!

We’re glad his expertise made such a positive difference, and we hope to welcome you again in the future.

Why this scores 73

Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour with Elephant Conservation from Delhi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour with Elephant Conservation from Delhi cost?
+
Prices start at $72 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour with Elephant Conservation from Delhi take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour with Elephant Conservation from Delhi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour with Elephant Conservation from Delhi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour with Elephant Conservation from Delhi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour with Elephant Conservation from Delhi?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour with Elephant Conservation from Delhi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
